The Thankyou Dambuster & HLB Thread!!

Well it looks like I'm the first one home/ up and sober enough to start the Thankyou thread, but I'm no speech-maker, nor could I do you two any justice by attempting it - so, this is just me getting the ball rolling and hopefully someone far more eloquent (aka tactful and diplomatic lol

) with words will come along and fill in the gaps wink

I think we all have at least some idea of just how much effort organising last night has taken, between hospital appointments and bad days where hands/ joints and eye just dont work like they should, painkillers and sleepless nights - and all because you "didnt want to let everyone down". It really wasnt necessary but you did it anyway, and it speaks volumes :wink: .
So, Thank You both for a bloody good night, and for simply being you. worship

Well we're home ..... I've the hangover from hell, had two hours kip and Morbius has gone to get the kids :shock:
HLB & Dammie ..... a brilliant do ... wasn't quite how you initially set out to do it but what went off last night was brilliant nonetheless, can't remember when i've laughed, drank, smoked so much in my life. Dammie, each time I see you, you do look better and better and HLB looks as breathtaking as ever.

Hiya Dambuster and HLB
We missed it. No sitter, no money etc etc usual story and ended up a friend's BBQ with the kids. It was good fun, but must admit to thinking more than once about the good time we might have been having with you all! Suffice to say we childishly amused ourselves with naming objects and people around us with all your user names :silly:
We're both sorry we could'nt be there, but very happy that it all went off ok for you both!

Well what a wonderfulnight!
A huge hugethanks to db and HLB for letting the party go ahead, despite it not turning out the way they'd orignally planned. I hope things improve for you both, really soon. You're a fantastic couple.

It was great for me to be able to put alot more faces to names last night. I apologise to anyone whose chest I oggled in an attempt to learn even more. There was more than one person to whom I said "Oh so you're ............. !" redface

Isn't it strange how no-one is ever like you expect?!
Thanks to Bernie and Bassman for inviting me to join them at their table and persuading me to join Marcuso's 'after munch' bunch.
Thanks also to everyone I chatted to and danced with, you helped make it a very enjoyable night for me. I think I could get used to this 'munching' malarky, do you think I might have the bug?
Two memories from the evening that stand out in my mind, one is that of Tattie(sp) following dammie round at very close quarters holding onto the back of his edible posing pouch and two is Morbius standing at the bar in a very fetching little black number

Not alot more I can say except that the journey home was 'different' ........... What normally takes 15/20 mins, actually turned into 40+mins! Due to the taxi driver thinking I was going somewhere completely different to where I actually live, still he didn't charge me anymore for taking me the scenic route.
Can we do it all again soon please?

Not one for naming names as you probably know... but a very big thank you to HLB and Dammie for a really great night, and to all the usual suspects for all the usual behind the scenes stuff they do.

To those I didn't get around to any of the above with, sorry but you really must be more persistant with me :giggle:
Last night was especially meaningful for me because it was the first time I'd returned to that particular area since meeting feklar there a little over 5 months ago... Thank you darling for the past 5 months and for everything you do for me. I just want you to know how much I appreciate and love you. :inlove:

Really good to see everyone I had met before... esp those I hadn't seen for a few months.....
Also really good to meet new people as well and hope to get to know you better in time.

to my darling... I don't have to say how much you mean to me and how you have changed my life in so many ways since I have met you. It was a bit sureal being back where we met again but so much nicer as a couple... thank you for the past 5 months and I hope it never ends between us...

I want you all to know how absolutely guttedwe were to have to scale things back a little and not be able to entertain you the way we wanted to.
I also want you to know how honoured and touched that I felt by the presence of you all, but in particular, some that don't get to many Munches, and those that travelled from afar - that's anybody that travelled for more than an hour to be there ! !
For those that take an interest in such - the only "no shows" were 1 single and 1 couple.

hello munchers, what a great night, big big thanks to Dammy & HLCS , thats HORNY LITTLE CHOCOLATE STARFISH, for putting on a great do! the memory of those stockings and the england thong will stay with us forever, thats Dambusters stockings and thong btw :shock: lol

its will be remembered as the friendly munch, we arent sure why but we both commented on it, maybe its because we are "familiar" with more of you now or maybe it was just excellent choice of guests, But there could be some truth in what Dambuster said to me , " these are my best friends in the world" meaning all of you! i can see why, you lot are a fine bunch indeed, not a hope in hell of having such a good time with Vanillas,
we have always done the list thing after a munch or social and we always leave one or two people off , so this time we are sorry in advance,

Well, what can I say! (Now that I'm back abroad again!)
Two of my favourite people - and the most fantastic collection of 'talent' I know. I had a blast.
Thanks to Dammie and HLB for sticking with it and giving us the opportunity to have a great time with you.
As ever thanks to Ice and Kaz for the badges. Next Time I'll bring me glasses to read 'em I'm running out of excuses fer grabbing badges on breasts with the accompanying comment 'Who are you - that feels good!'
And not forgetting Alex DJ for making the place rock and swing at the same time (quite an achievement that!)
I cannot mention names but I met some people whom I've been dying to meet fer ages - so thanks, thanks, thanks for that.

Whilst I remember .....
You'll see from my thanks that I apologised to two people over spilt red wine .....
I know it's not politically correct to shame people but I really feel the need to get this off my chest. I was standing talking to one member whilst wearing one members shirt, holding a glass of red wine, someone shoved past me so viciously, (hands on my back kind of shove) hence the spillage. I have no idea who did it but was totally mortified, luckily white wine and patience I hope has stopped the staining.
There was no need for the shove as we weren't blocking access to or from the bar and whilst possibly not meant maliciously kinda spoilt part of my evening!
