all the best pundits say i am over the moon. Like many others i did go away from SH a little when it was taken over, and I was concerned about what might happen in december. However in last 4/5 monthes I had drifted back here, and really enjoy the banter in the chat rooms. The site depends upon a strong and healthy membership, this decision will ensure that ..the membership stays exactly that way.
Well for one to admin..and i for one raise my glass to you !!!

It makes me feel more settled knowing that there's not going to be a "mass exodus" in December - I've got my feet firmly under the table now biggrin

... what does premium membership mean???
Not particularly concerned about the charging question though as unless I give out my cred card details and i've no reason to do that, they can't charge anything to me.

Standard members are those who join the site after Dec 05 and don't pay.
They can view the site and put an ad up, but they can't post in the forum, use the chatroom or send pm's
The admin gave all users who joined the site prior to Dec 05 "Premium Membership" for 1 year to be reviewed this December.
If they hadn't made this decision, come December you would have to pay to use the site the way you do now.

Perhaps I should have said congratulations too as although I'm a paying member I really don't mind at all. What I would I hate is lots of the folk I have come to know on here suddendly disappearing come December!

yeah the announcement took us by suprise but we are really pleased, glad to see the new owners are taking things seriously and if i am honest, the site is better and more user friendly now :shock:
we were up in arms at first but things have settled down at the SH Towers and the forums have no more idiots on there than they did before (us being one of the previous lol), the site is a lot better and the new features are great,
well done SH team, the regulars do make the forums and site what it is and without us/them SH wouldnt be the great place it is!!
