Never seen a ghost and dont want to in fact I request they leave me alone. People I know who have died thanks but no thanks will see you all later much later hopefully. Having said that I have always been very intrigued with teh paranormal I just dont want to be personnaly involved.
Cheers

This sums up exactly how I feel about this subject. Fascinated by the subject but don't ever want to experience it first hand. If you feel this way you are less likely to have an experience, so 'they' say.
To be honest I dont know as I have actualy in my lifetime experienced a few odd things that I cannot rationaly explain.
As a child of about 4 I was at a party at my nan's old house. I asked some of my older relatives who the man sat on the end of the sofa was who had got up and left. They went through everyone who had been at the party and I insisted it was not any of them. I was asked to describe the man which I did but the description did not match up to anyone who had been at the party. Then I said that the person had been playing the spoons and I am told it went a little quiet as my family realised I had just described my dead great granfather whom I never knew, he always played the spoons at family partys.
Another time when I was having some medical examinations done aroun 4 years ago I began to get really panicked whilst in the waiting room which is not something that ever happens to me. I got so bad I didnt know what to do as my heart was beating like a hammer and must have been dripping like a pig. I just sat and asked in my head if my sister who had died a couple of years previous would come and help me out, i cant explain then if this mental or something else but it was like calm came down on me in a wave. Thats the only way I can describe it I was fine after that.
Most recently in Scotland at the MOTHER IN LAWS !!! house which is an old converted blacksmiths. I stayed up most nights after everyone else in the front room which is one that is supposed to have some activity. Here I spoke again in my head to whats supposed to be in the room saying that I wasent going anywhere and to please leave me alone as basicly I just want to watch the TV. I saw on one night a dark shadow move accross the walk and over the window, shadows cant move over windows can they? This has been seen before by the mother in law and her partner. I also felt rather on edge at time and thought I could see faces in the fish tank, was drinking a bit of Vodka though at that time biggrin
I try where possible to avoid contact and anything that triggers my mind in this way. I dont watch horror on my own I dont play survival horror games on my own I feel very uncomfortable after talking about ghosts or similar, like I am begining to now lol. When I do any of these things I always get a really deep feeling of forboding which puts me totaly on edge.
Cheers
Years ago in 1 of the houses ive lived in i was told that in the bedroom i slept in there was a ghost of a woman that walked from 1 side of the room 2 the window & stood staring out 2wards the sea...i never saw this lady but i did have 2 odd experiences! The 1st was being woken because i'd felt some1 or something sitting on the end of the bed thinking nothing of it i shifted posistion when again i felt some1 or something sitting down @ the end of the bed. Well that was me straight up & over 2 the light 2 check if my dog & somehow got upstairs, but when i checked she was still shut in the kitchen? The 2nd time i awoke i'd heard something & as i lay there some1 whispered my name but close 2 my ear confused ..god was i freaked.

i have always been rather sceptial but open minded, i will believe if i see some thing that i can not explain.
Maybe thats why i have never seen anything, but a few years back inbetween main jobs i did a stint as a night porter.
It was in an old coaching house and the jail/court house right next door and has plenty of history with ghosts. My job was to walk round and do the fire checks, i never saw heard anything and was quite dissapointed.
oh and Tania i just realised it was you who said hello to me but did not let on your name to me @ HT4, and we never got to chat in the evening. i was rushing out to see kids when you were having breakfast.

i am in two minds what i believe tbh.
i have never experienced it myself but have no reason to disbelieve other peoples experiences.
i think if it was me though i would be frightened.
the only spirits in my house live in bottles on a kitchen shelf!
I use to wake during the night to see a young boy crying at my bedside. I must have been 8 or 9 yrs old then. Swapped bedrooms and didnt give it much thought for a while. Wasnt untill I was about 14yrs i guess, when the subject came up amoungst my neighbour (who was a couple of years older than myself) and the other local kids. We lived in a row of terraced houses and she said she use to wake to the sound of crying. Our bedrooms separated by the dividing wall...coincedence? Kids and their imaginations maybe?!?!?!
But...after talking to parents and those that had lived in the street for a few years, we were amazed to find out that a young lad had been starved and beat to an inch of his life by his father in the very house we lived, awful story and from what i learned, he died not long after that.
So a believer?....well yeah i guess I am but I do believe that its hard to have an understanding unless you have some kind of ermm experience? for want of a better word!
I've only recently had experiances realised as being ghosts, all my life i've seen someone i thought was alive, turns out they are very much dead. Being made to believe in that way isnt nice.
