I have had to cancel on a couple of occasions, car trouble is actually a truthful one and also my ex wife deciding to give me our kids for the weekend without any prior warning (love my kids would drop any plans for them!!)

i dont actually class people who let you know in advance as time wasters tho, i have had 2 cancel a few times cause of kids etc one night my youngest fell on the back garden and cut her leg open quite badly and i had to call a guy up about 30 mins before i was supposed to be meeting him, i did feel bad as it was short notice but else you supposed to do? manners cost nothing (well maybe a 10p text) but that 10p text is that diffarence between a time waster and one of them things that cant be helped.

either you weren't right for them, or they weren't right for you? either they realised it wouldn't work, for them or you, or they were never up for it in the first place?
either way, shit happens, get over it, move on? ;) we all have meets that get blown out for no good reason. goes with the territory? ;) thing is, you never know if it might have been you, and something you said, cos you never really know how you come across on the t'interweb? 
maybe it ain't about you, maybe it's them thinking 'I don't need to be doing this anymore' :?

it's a website! it is not Real Life? :? there will always be a degree of at-arms-length, behind-a-screen fantasy? you just have to accept that, as a fact? harsh i know, but that's how it works? ;)
the advice to go to Socials is spot on, cos at that point, it stops being a website, and becomes real flesh-and-blood people? that's how it works as well, in my experience, as a website? ;)
as for Halls of Fame and Shame? no no no no no no! absolutely not! never, ever, ever?

We then maybe chat a few more imes and try to inject a bit of our own sense of humour and the stuff we are into into the online and phone conversations, if the response is good and the other couple are on our wavelength we start to arrange meeting up!!

I am a bit black and white on this one but then that's me I am hard to please (so Blue always tells me) and don't suffer fools gladly. Personally speaking in life generally, I expect people to always let me know if they can't make something, be it whatever has been organised whether it's a coffee morning or a swinging meet.
I understand people can have genuine emergencies and this is totally acceptable but texts/phone calls after the event are always easy to do when the emergency is no longer there.
Luckily we've never yet been stood up, but I have to say, the poor buggers are 'interviewed' :lol2: to death, we always have fem/fem chats and get to know them both over MSN to ensure we're s(w)inging from the same hymn sheet and this is before we meet for just the social drink. I am pretty confident of my intuition with these steps being taken.

I think its probably down to the fact that they like the build up, camming etc making arrangements, and probably love the idea, but when it comes down to it they freak or chicken out.
Fact is if someone has no intention of meeting they should state that from the start. or give u a few days notice if they cnt make it. That way at least u can arrange some other horny fun..

I think the build up can give people the buzz they're after, but without the effort/risk/embarrasment/fear factor of a meet.
They contact/chat with you, get all sweaty & horny talking about it, and have great sex. Then IMHO they lose the motivation/ drive for the meet. In short- his balls are empty!
Theres always the jealousy factor too which comes into play often. Whatever it is, I don't think many people set out to waste other's time. Life interferes.
