As for the Tolerance bit. I think it is OK to be intolerant. You should not have to tolerate opinions with which you deeply disagree. It is OK to say 'That is unacceptable - it is intolerable'.
I know this looks like a bit of semantics but I am trying to make the point that it is how you express your 'intolerance' that counts. That's where respect and recognition of people's right to an opinion must be observed.
