Does it have to be a Detective exactly? And are we talking story lines or shaggability? lol
Whislt pondering this I realise that I have a 'thing' for TV detectives/coppers! :confused2: I never really thought about it until now.
Amanda Burton in Silent Witness
Ken Stott in Rebus
Sharon Gless in Cagney & Lacey (The blonde one.)
Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect
Trevor Eve in Waking The Dead

John Thaw as Morse was was brilliant
Also liked Life on Mars, just wish the coppers today could
deal with some of todays SCUM like they did in them 1973

Cannon was good. Great soundtracks of funky brass. cool
Morse is a classic and Cracker though I used to love The Professionals mainly because I had the hots for Martin Shaw :inlove: and Bergerac for John Nettles hump

Oh and one of my first ever crushes was on Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.
Jeremy Bretts Sherlock Holmes is my top man (not for shagging biggrin ) He was the autistic detective, the founder of CSI Baker Street :D
Most shaggable well... in the far distant past of my youth, the female copper in the police series Strangers, guess you'll have to look on the net to know who I'm talking about.
Life on Mars....

When I started this I hadn't really considered the shagability of our 'tec but since its come up my mind wandered as it does to 'The Singing Detective' and Joanne Whalley, dressed as a nurse rubbing grease into MIchael Gambons thighs.
OOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooohhhhhh.
I still go all of a quiver thinking about it.
Helen Mirren yes as Jane Tennsion, no as the Queen

when i was younger i used to think "Dan Tanner" (vegas) was the coolest dude on the planet
then i used to think that "Crockett and Tubbs" ( Miami Vice ) were the coolest dudes ....
but based on sheer brilliant detective work.............ive got to say the all-time best is "columbo"
and another thing.....................
