Do you think that these make over TV shows are realistic would you like to see people dressed up to the nines and wear lots of make up every minute of every day?
I dont beleve that there are many people walking around dressed like the people who have been on such programs.
Many people may not have money to spend on lots of chothes every year to keap in fashion and they dress for the occasion.
I do not have the money to dress up to the nines in every minute every day in my life and I dress for the occasion , for example, I dress for where I go, such as at work I wear cheap tshirt and jeans and little make up and when I go shoping I wear more expensive tshirt or nice tops and jeans and a little make up but when I go out on an evening I dress up to the nines and wear more make up to look good.
I have never felt the need to follow fashion or wear make up.
In my daily life you would never see me dressed up with make up. Hope none of you see me going about my daily life, it could be scary.
Jeans and t shirts for me.
O dear I am sounding like a Mum but hey I am proud of that.
I have never been one to get their nails done, I might break one fixing the children’s tyre on their bike.
If I go out for an occasion I dress up and apply a bit of makeup. I like to feel presentable.
I once was questioned and felt judged years ago from my hubby as to why I didn’t dress more like a real woman.
He married me as I have always been, I will never change to please anyone.
He said he loves me more for being me now and realises that make up and looking like a real woman does not change the person that you are.
I guess we all come to an age that our body shape isn’t what it used to be, wrinkles start to appear, I always feel the mind and soul doesn’t change.
Because a person looks good doesn’t always mean they feel good.
only on here would i think you were talking about a new show with Gok and a tranny...
now thinking about it that could work!!!
I've never been a makeup wearer, although I have been known to dab on a bit or mascara and lipstick if I'm going somewhere nice. But I've discovered that I can like myself for me, not for what someone else thinks of what I look like.
For some reason finding half a dozen women in the ladies loo at work, fiddling about with their hair and pasting eye-liner and lipstick on, annoys me intensely. I have no idea why it annoys me - it just seems so pointless and nothing to do with work. Perhaps there is too much engineer left in me - even after being a trainer for 9 years. :giggle:
On many occasions I have failed to recognise work colleagues at social events solely because of their contact lenses and make up.
Thats what you get for being a Kiss roadie I suppose.
