I would have though it more useful to just have two women who were not related and thus would be able to play with eachother too, without it being somewhat incestuous...

Kind of agree with you there. I've "scored" with both of two sisters (separately), both of whom know that the other is in the swinging scene, but neither would play in the same bed as the other.
Mind you, maybe it's folklore and all that but I do hear stories about sisters "doing it all night long", and a guy I know did get to play the Generation Game once with the ladies of the house where he was a lodger whilst working in Poland.
