i don't mind keeping a chart or weekly weigh loses but you have got to be honest if you put a pound on you have to tell us
You don't have to pay any attention to me, but this is what I did last year. I started a spreadsheet and everyone sent me their weight and their target weight for the 16 weeks or whatever it was. (I had to promise not to disclose anyones true weight on the site).
Each Sunday was weigh in day but sometimes they didn't arrive until Monday or Tuesday. So Wednesday or Thursday I would put up a new post with some nugget to keep interest, the person who lost the most, the person who lost the least, champs list and must try harder, those who'd failed to post weight to me, anything I could think of to be readable and halfway interesting, (but only the lbs added or lost, never the real weight).
At the end only about 30% were still losing and posting, but that's inevitable. It helped me I'm sure, though some people thought I was a bit of a bully demanding weights and posting names of those who didn't bother. But not much in the world works without a motivator to shove.
It wasn't hard work, but I was pleased when it ended because I'd given myself an obligation and wanted to see it through, so I think the period of the diet needs to be limited to the time you think you can offer it.
