Its so true that each partner brings their own history to - literally - intertwine with yours.
There is a beauty in this - our extraordinary drive to be sexual with others is something to celebrate - if you can realise it with others its a wonderful there are consequences to it - we may not like to acknowledge them but acknowledge them we a condom is no hassle, its easy and its part of the fun - and we live to love another day..
Well done to you for putting SENSE before sex,
I had the same thing too, it may have even been the same woman,
She hasn't spoken to me since, like i care!!
Unfortunately for some of the newbies they are gagging for sex so much they will risk all for a shag and some will no doubt take this lady up on her offer, as they become accepted into the world of SH they then put us all at risk,
NO GLOVE NO LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO GLOVE NO LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Midlandsman I have TWO gloves, one for each hand - so therefore DOUBLE THE LOVE! wink
I notice theres not a rush to answer Tigerbees question!
My answer to it is NO and NO - but I doubt if anyone would say YES to either?
As ever you've put it perfectly Judy!
Oh,Judy, the quote-ometer there has made it look like Midlandsman said it but it was seems a decent enough fellow lets not ruin his chances by getting people thinking he said something I did - unless he is me!
(..No,he isn't.I am me.)
Have to agree you did the right thing !!
Mr Writer by the wya I love your avatar.
Mr John Carter from ER

Yep you done the right thing!!
Whilst i may not be afraid of many things the thought of HIV does put the wind up me a little!
Nice avatar lil miz naughtie!!
There is another site that, when entering your profile, asks whether safe sex is a must, sometimes or never. Looking at the ads, there are quite a few, both couples and singles, that state sometimes.
It is therefore likely that there may be others on this site who would be the same, however, none have contributed to this thread. Or perhaps everbody on SH practices safe sex? dunno

Cheers Miz. I used to have a picture of me as my avatar but people always asked if it was Carter so I thought I'd go the whole hog.

ah yes well i'm sure it isn't a big deal for some. i'm sure some don't always, or ever. but it's easier to post that you always practice safe sex, rather than admit you don't? sillyossible reason for the disparity of posts?
for the record, i'd be pretty stunned if it wasn't a requirement. nor would i take up the offer. did abdolutely the right thing IMHO Mr Writer.
n x x x ;)
Nothing wrong with a bit of self-promotion, Libra!

Oops.
Oh yes, I see that now. My apologies to Midlandsman, I didn't mean to infer that you said it hunni. I should have deleted him ( no, not him his name)..No the quote, Fluck it....Judy now throws the shovel into the big deep hole she has dug and skips off trying to look innocent to the tune of the Archers. Even the wording of this post is grammatically drastically incorrect. I must remember to stick to the ironing and go back to therapy and leave posting to others.
Judy........Dum de dum de dum de dum etc......

No problems hunny kiss
but the termination was a lot more traumatic and I'm still smarting from the experience now.

I really sympathise with you. Having known serveral people who had terminations and know the emotional hell it puts you thorough. :therethere: :therethere: :therethere: :therethere:
Of course I’m not happy now – the question was raised with the intention of seeing whether people would defend it or admit to it. If I had thought it would provoke painful memories I wouldn’t have asked the question.
I hope you take it as read and apologise if it has upset you.
Look into your own lives, deep into the all did something good, bad, wise or foolish.
A couple of posts ago someone said something very brave and honest, something most would never admit to in such a public place.
They are someone who makes wonderful contributions to this site, and one of the most admired members of this community,a community which,I'm sure, will I said - we all have had our moments where these things have happened to is life.
hugs to you Libra Love, that must have been a really tough decision to make and awful to have to go through.
It just proves yet another point really to promote condom use at all times, not only can you end up with nasty infections, an unplanned pregnancy can throw your whole life into turmoil. I for one will be trying my utmost at all times to avoid it.

I replied to an ad in the Women Seeking Men section of the site a while ago. I've since 'spoken' to the woman quite a lot on Messenger so she could decide if I was the right kind of person for her. Things seemed to be progressing quite well so she suggested meeting tomorrow night.
When I asked if she had some condoms or whether I should take my own she said that she didn't want to use them. This led to quite a heated discussion which culminated in me abandoning the meeting.
Have I acted out of turn here?
I know and am confident that I am clean as I am tested on a regular basis. Here is a woman who is expecting me to put my life in her hands simply because she says 'everything is OK' though. I can't believe that some people would be so irresponsible.

Strange. It's usually the bloke who doesn't want to wear a johnny and the woman who insists. After all, not only can she get up the duff but her chances of getting HIV from a bloke are far higher than the bloke's of getting it from her AFAIK. I honestly don't think a woman can notice the difference between wrapped and unwrapped, at least that's what my girlfriends have said. Did she say why she wanted unwrapped?
FWIW, as all the rest have written, you did the right thing.
Mr Licks
...and if you prefer sex natural to artificial then...
check out this site of mine:

what a breath of fresh air,you in our opinion are a wonderful person

Anyone know where you can get wide fit condoms.... (and ones that arn't 2ft long) I used to be able to buy them, but can't find them anywhere nowadays....

Try Avanti. They are sold at Boots. They are the most expensive condoms as they are non latex. Also some advice about fitting a condom on when it is tight: use a drop of lubricant on the tip of your penis! Brilliant, eh? Not my original idea, though. Just read the packet instructions... smile
hope this link works:

I have to politely disagree with you on this subject. Some women CAN notice the difference but would rather lose out on sensation and be safe rather than risk catching an STD. I am one of them smile

You deffinately made the right and only decission and youve not lost anything, after all would you really want to take a risk with someone who would take the risk?

I'd be gutted if the woman was you though, foxy! What an ass!
wink fancy calling foxy an ass confused: "what an ass" she was only helping
apart from that  you were right to walk away, as any one with half a brain would bolt
Well that looks unanimous! biggrin I may be desperate for a shag, but not so desperate that I would have unprotected sex with someone, & it would appear she makes a habit of it
I think everyone agrees with the use of condoms in recreational sex, and certainly with new people. However there are many of us who initially have safe sex but then progress to unprotected with a new partner, without considering checking.
I have only ever caught thrush. I have checked myself several times and never had a sti or std. But I have not checked the condition of a partner with whom I have progressed with.
Have you?
AND WHAT ABOUT IF IT'S SOME NUT CASE AND THEY ARE SO BITTER ABOUT CONTRACTING AIDS OR SOMTHING THAT THEY WANT TO GIVE IT TO OTHERS.I REMEMBER THAT ITALIAN YEARS AGO WHO DONE THAT TO HIS EX'S AND OTHER PEOPLE AND HE GOT DONE FOR MURDER I DOES HAPPEN.

This is an excellent point. People don't magically become safe just because they've become monogamous or you know their aunties' names.
I remember a while back when we met a guy and we were quite niave. He arrived, everything was going fine, then when the crunch came he said he just couldn't use condoms. We should've known to state this long before a meet ever happened but we just assumed that everyone would think the same (stupid now, we know).
His line "I hate what they do to you/us".
Astounded.
