Well, my first post here may as well explain why I picked my Username.

As long as the name isn't offencesive I think it's ok. Sometimes you need to state what/who you are in your username.

Because i am a foreigner, no one at school could pronounce my name, so
someone decided to call me Trapper for some reason and it stayed forever,
hence the nick.

My choice was based on my affinity with networking gear, plus when I worked at Cisco everyone thought that I ate, drank, and slept with my 6k box as there was not anyone else around that knew it as well as I did. Hence ciscocat6k, as to my chatroom REGISTERED id, it is actually part of my name and as I wanted to make sure that it was unique the word one was added to the end. Hence the dbestone................. I know corny name but everyone has always called be dbest as I never turn away from a challenge and once undertaken I doggedly go at it until I have become the best that I can at it.. usually much to the chagrin of many of my peers.

Must admit when I see these types of names i immediatley think the people are a bit up there own arse etc, so it would put me off , if i was part of a swinging couple, from meeting these people.

I think a lot of usernames betray a juvenile naivete, which is useful information so I'm not knocking it. I'm sure there are those who are impressed by sexy-this and 69-that :sleeping: each to their own. Personally I find self-praise the biggest possible turn off, and as for the usernames that are simply a reminder that the person is interested in sex, I think yes? And?
So yes, there are types of usernames that make me think "boring" and their first post usually confirms it. I just skip to the next thread. Some people probably think MY username makes me look like an idiot, I don't have a problem with that. First impressions aren't always right, but they're right often enough to let you avoid a lot of people who are simply not your type, which can't be a bad thing.

Our username is chosen by us and so may well tell a story

I have often thought of changing it , but sometimes names just get stuck on you for one reason or another

I've used Wishmaster since I first went online way back in 1995 on various websites (not just Swinging ones).
I saw a film of the same name and the nick kinda grew on me as it infers mysticism but also reflects my BDSM tendencies ........ and I have found willing subs are drawn to the nickname also.
As for people who adopt BigDick type nicknames, I think it shows a lack of imagination plus a little self-obsession. A dick or a pussy is not the only attribute to a person and I do tend to distance myself from people who choose these types of nicknames.
