It's just that I've noticed over the past year or so that some threads are pounced on in quite an aggressive manner instead of just being ignored...
Surely, if we feel that something is merely innappropriate (as opposed to being either illegal or agains the forum's user policy) then it is best to just ignore the post... :confused:
Sometimes, when I read a thread that has got jumped on by the 'SH Police', I feel uncomfortable 'cos it can get (in my humble opinion) a bit OTT...
Just my tuppence worth to throw into the melting pot of SH...

Be it our business or not, I can understand asking for opinions or experiences of vasectomies on a public forum after all there is plenty of men floating around here to ask for advice

Because I wanted to answer the questions fully rather than waffling on about my opinions on vasectomies and it being of no help what so ever

I think only you can decide if its a good or bad for you & your current situation .
My own view on vasectomies it was well worth it just to put Stileto's mind at rest over her concerns of a health problem.

I've had it done and I cant see why not?
The other alternative would be for the mrs to shove pills down her throat or we use a condom and live with the risk of having another baby when we both didnt want any more.
The result is she doesnt have to take the pill and she has had a fruitfull life at work and been able to get on with what she wanted to do.
I dont think that what the pain I went through wasnt werth it!
I think It was the least I could have done!
We are both very happy with the outcome and I personally think it was one of the best things I have ever done.
Thats my view anyway

Was so nervous i was bricking it, had heard some horror storey from others that had had it done(all lies).

I've twice heard people say that a vasectomy can re-connect, or the sperm somehow get through, and lead to a pregnancy, though I've never encountered a case of this actually happening.
I seem to remember that after the snip I went back some time later and had my stuff tested for potency, and then again a second time before I got the all clear.

Had mine done about 2 years ago bit strange talking to a nurse as a doctor stoped the suply, a bit tense the first time i came (3 days later ). Mrs said no difference in the taste so all is well
It really is such an easy surgical procedure considering what us ladies go through and I get quite pigged off with men whingeing on about it being major surgery (think not
)Blue was a star, happy to "take his turn" for the responsibility of managing our family when we were complete. He had a few days of discomfort and bruising, I did wait on him hand and foot for a few days as we had been advised that the more rest early on the better the recovery or any major swelling. You do have to be sensible about it practically.
And btw I think it does taste a little different, marginally less salty and also no crunchy bits 'cos there's no little swimmers!
:high-smile: AND it's pretty rare for the tubes to reconnect and let sperm through, percentage wise. But like all precedures/ops there's always some chance of failure rate but compared to female sterilisation vasectomies have a much higher chance of success, particularly if female sterilisation is done at c-section.
And while I'm at it, men please take note, this can have a seriously good affect on your wives, I know how I was so much more relaxed with sex after the snip was all clear, no fear of pregnancy, not thinking about where I was in the monthly cycle and the chances of pregnancy. And also a gratitude to Blue for taking his turn. There's a kind of togetherness that hits me, our responsibility for creating, having then preventing more children should be joint.

I agree with the practicalities of 'doing the decent thing'. But I have met a few women who actually enjoy seeing me shoot my load. So we'd miss that.
Also if I lost my children for whatever reason, I'd still be able to have more children.
Its not too difficult to avoid coming off inside if you are willing to take your own simple precautions.

No you wouldn't! I can still shoot plenty, and no lady has ever guessed from that that I've been snipped.

If that's a concern, you could always freeze some sperm.

your "load" is pretty much the same as it was before.
Sperm will not freeze indefinately.
Our happy family is the result of foreplay. "Coming off" wasn't the problem just good old slack contraception. Just remember there are many a good few tadpoles released long before your magnificent ejaculation and they're determined little chaps..!
