Wasn't supposed to be at work

Today I got up extra early to make sure I would be at work before my official start time as I had lots to do.
Got into work, after about an hour my boss decided to tell me I actually booked the day off and why the hell was I there?!
I can't for the life of me remember why I'd booked the day off, I checked my bookings, I'd actually requested the day off back in April....still no idea why!
Suffice to say, I was outta that door in 10 seconds flat but also feeling somewhat silly!
Anyone else gone into work when they weren't supposed to? And did you have the piss ripped out of you like I did? lol

Not exactly, but I did get a phone call one afternoon asking if I was on my way... Extremely confused until she explained that I was supposed to be at a meeting at my daughter's school 20 minutes earlier redface

I'd booked the afternoon off and then promptly forgotten, so I went home early and then got the rest of my hours back over the following week - and a written report of what had happened in the meeting without me surprised

i used to do 3 jobs to make ends meet
Made sandwiches/rolls and salads for a delivery service early every morning then went onto either hairdressers or nursery.
Got up one morning did the sandwich job and then went on to wrong job redface

Good job i had decent clients at the hairdressers they ribbed me for weeks after rolleyes

have not gone to work when i should have been off but :
i've actually landed in majorca on holiday while still being paid at overtime rate for covering some colleagues..
turned up for work an hour early when i forgot to adjust my clocks.

Traditionally now I always goto work on the Monday of a week off to do all the work I haven't done. Everyone tells me to piss off and get drunk and moans. A couple of years back, I went eighteen months without a straight week off due to working on the Mondays.
So who's going to be first to tell me to get a life. On my two weeks summer holiday now and left work at pm tonight.

i thought i got up late for work one day ..............rushed to kitchen.........made myself a coffee ..........went to the bathroom ............got undressed ready to shower...........and remembered i was on maternity leave and about due !!!!!!!!!!!

drove 20 miles to a job i no longer worked at, in the company van of my new employer with it's foot high logo and name redface

got a strange look from my ex boss, as i pulled onto the carpark turned round and drove off, then i had to explain to my new boss why i was 1 hour late.

I have had staff who have insisted on coming inot work on there day off - and for the normal rate!!!
Ive also got staff who pleaded to be allowed to work on public holidays, they say it gets them out of the house!!!! who am i too argue?
I have turned up at a meeting at the right time, right day........................just a week too early!!
I have also sent the kids to school when it was half term (they wernt pleased) and taken them an hour too late to a friends birthday party because the clocks had gone back the day before!!!

ive just got home from work.....went to a job 70 miles away and it was finished 2 weeks ago....so bugger it ive come home lol
