We have no interest in camming at all, but it does seem silly that camming has been treated as an undesirable activity in here. The site should be for all aspects of swinging. Camming, after all, is the ultimate in safe sex and presumably saves a fortune in club fees or travel expenses.
If there is an argument that camming takes people away from the site, then the same can be said of msn, which is not frowned upon. A separate forum for camming would make sense in that it gives a focal point for cam ads and hopefully would mean that most of them would end up there.

I agree with Northwest_cpl. I have seen a few people asking for a webcam section now.
With most sections of the swinging scene being catered for then it seems daft not to have a section for those that like to do it. Personally, I wouldn't as I could never work the ruddy thing
. But if it floats their boat then they shouldn't be alienated from this great community on here.

We did cam once or twice in our early days as swingers - I was still nervous and it was a safe option We never do it now though, preferring the real thing :twisted:
It takes all sorts and some people obviously like to cam. It's safe, clean fun to those who like to indulge in it and does no harm, so I don't see a problem with having an extra focal point for cammers to arrange sessions.
After all there is a section for doggers, so why not cammers?

i think it has it's place here . . at least as far as the dreaded verification word goes. ;) enough couples insist on a cam, to see both parties, to make it a useful addition to the site i reckon.
i doubt you're about to setup a server to handle cams, so no loss to refer requests onto MSN, , Paltalk or the other camming sites?

Can I suggest a separate forum. I don't think that there should be a debate as to whether a particular person does it or likes or dislikes it, or thinks there shoild or shouldn't be a place for it here.
If this is to be a truly open and free forum then it should presumably cater for all areas of legitimate and reasonable activity with a sex bias.

I can't really see there's a problem. If it doesn't interest you then no-one's forcing you to go to that forum.

Sounds like a good idea to me - but there's cammig and there's CAMMING if you get my drift. Never tried it but I should imagine CAMMING can be quite disappointing really (or so I've heard) so I wouldn't suggest the site invests much time in it initially - 'cos it might be a damp squib.
Just plain camming can really enhance a messenger session - judging by my experiences tonight.
I think MSN Messenger is just as valid as and cameras are the usual issue - you pays your money and.....

Daily you can browse through the Lets Meet Up section and see threads started purely with the sole intention of having a cam session..
IMHO a Lets Cam section would be a very usefull section indeed..

What I am grateful for is the removal of the clutter of "wank on cam with me now" ads that made the Let's Meet Up forum move so darn quickly has now slowed right down. I actually have a chance to catch the meet up threads I want to see without the clutter of cam only posts.

We have used msn and for camming and don't have a preference. The only problem we found was that whilst using for camming our pc tends to crash more frequently.

My opinion, for what it's worth, and you can take this as Mal the member (that sounds disgusting!!!

Even if there is a separate forum for it, we will still get folk posting in the wrong forums. It happens every day already for all sorts of posts and on the whole we move them to the right forum or delete if appropriate. The webcam sticky does work for the majority. We do get some, not loads, who still post within the body of the forum, but we delete them, rather than move them. They either learn or leave, it's that simple.
It may appear that it currently isn't used much, but don't forget, it is emptied every day, along with all the used tissues!!
Again, personal preference, I see a place for webcamming as just another tool in the box of sexual tricks some people get up to and, although there are a lot of sites set up specifically for this type of thing, having a sticky thread within a forum, I think, is our contribution to it. I don't think there is enough posts to justify a whole forum for them and it is easier to control when in one thread, and less time consuming for us.

I think this all depends on how you consider " cam " If it's used as a tool to assist in swinging then great ...it's worth the space and effort for it.. MSN and messenger offer a good facility for camming.
The problem is with "camming" is that it attracts the money makers... In the chatroom the word "cam" is banned from nicknames and any reference to camming is frowned upon... With good reason because time after time the pro's were sneaking in to poach members from the room to jump to cam pay sites...
I dont bother with camming myself as I'm of the mind that "if i can't touch it I wont fuck it". I've got a feeling that opening a dedicated space for camming would be fun and helpful to a few .... but would be a 24/7 job keeping the money makers out... as they out number genuine cammers 10 to 1.

I think there are issies with the temporary 'camming thread' solution, in that it's not as well signposted as a complete forum would be, and ads there only last for 1 day, not for the 30 days that you get in the photo ads section.
I think a 'lets cyber' forum might be the best solution, where people can advertise for cam sessions (on , msn or any other IM software) AND for text-only sessions, which don't really have a proper home on SH.
Remember the 'SH orgy' thread? That would have a semi-permanent place there, I think, which might bring the cam and forum communities closer together, which would be a good thing. Also, regular cammers could bump their threads as they see fit, rather than having to repost every day as they currently do.
As for 'cluttering up the forums', this option would give our hard-working forum mods the chance to use the same'move this to the right forum' feature that they already use for inappropriately placed threads, and those of us not interested in that kind of thing could simply ignore the whole area, in the same way some of us already skip the dogging forum.

Personally, I'd say having a webcam forum would be the ideal solution - it'll allow people to easily contact others and discuss camming stuff and all that business. There's clearly a demand for camming and while, yes, there's other camming-specific sites, there's also other swinging sites out there so I don't see this as a reason not to have a cam area. Obviously it's an extra workload on the mods, so maybe another mod or two could be recruited from camming regulars to handle this forum?

I can't imagine why Richmond brought this back up from six months ago. We have the webcammers in the 'Lets Meet Up' thread in a sticky at the top and it works fine. If you had read the whole post Richmond, you would have seen all the discussions about it - what more needs to be added?
