I had Diamond Ring by Bon Jovi. Wish I'd chosen Love Is A Mutt From Hell by Wheatus now though rolleyes
We had three:
Bron-Yr-Aur by Led Zeppelin (as we walked up the aisle together)
Soul Limbo by Booker T. & The MGs* (while we were messing about signing registers etc)
Let's Do It by Cole Porter, covered by Joan Jett & Paul Westerberg for the Tank Girl OST (as we walked out after the ceremony)
* you may, if you know as much pointless musical trivia as I, recognise that this is the theme music for Test Match Special.
Mmm - think I did this type of post a while back....probably time it was re-done anyway.
CC....... cool
we had " she wears my ring"
when we renew our vows again for our Pearl wedding anniversary in 2 yrs time - we will have the same song again - sentimental or what ?? lol
my mate always said he wish he had of had back of bitch by guns n roses lol lol
We had a few;
She came down the aisle to music from Edward Scissorhands,
Then we had My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose by Eddi Reader and we went out to the Throne room Music from Star Wars.
Mixed bunch or what?
believe it or not there are quite a few songs Id love to hear at a wedding
Unbreakable - Westlife
I wanna grow old with you - Westlife
Truly, Madly, Deeply - Savage Garden
To the Moon and Back - Savage Garden
With or Without you - U2
Just a few which I find appropriate
flight of the valkyrie
replace the word 'napalm' with 'burning rubber' and it really does smell of victory rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

You’re right, we did, and it probably is.
In fact, it was yours. First week in October.
This is what I said then . . . . . . .

Moody Blues - Knights In White Satin (I think, it was a long time ago)

Not a wedding song as such, but as Knights in White Satin played at a small social, I very quietly and without fuss slipped an engagement ring on the finger of who later became Mk I. (Apart from the fuss of people looking on, and wondering wtf was happening  )
Clearly, before mobiles, emails, or computers at all; I'd not seen her for a number of weeks and had just flown in from somewhere; an hour or so spare before returning; so tracked her down to the village hall.
There they all were in their best party frocks and best bib and braces, in walks Mr Numpty in jeans, rough shirt and donkey jacket to do the deed. Unkempt and bedraggled.
A bit like a low class version of the factory scene at the end of 'An Officer and a Gentleman'
The poignant line for me at the time was "Letters I've written, never meaning (?) to send"
Really rather fitting at the time.
I still think of it with fond memories whenever I hear the song.
That was MK I – what seems like a thousand years ago.
Mk IV ( :giggle: ) and me don’t have an “our song” as such. There are a few that, when played, make us look at each other and smile warmly, or giggle, or even laugh out loud. There’s even a couple that make my cock twitch.
One in particular that makes me think of her is Browned Eyed Girl. But if you know her, or meet her, you’ll see she doesn’t have brown eyes wink
(Edit. That's not actually a reference to "pink or brown" )

. . . . . . pay that person a fixed sum of money for the rest of your useful life. Her new boyfriend then allows you to take the kids to MacDonald's or Burger King every Saturday, providing you are amicable and don't tell everyone that he is a Twxx. Some even do it 3 or 4 times just to keep their hand in  :P .
Jude

Guilty. I just like wedding cake redface
And finally, Esther . . . . . . . .

....power of love...by franky goes to hollywood

Whenever I hear anything by frankie goes to hollywood, I’m reminded of what was probably my first intentional public “performance” in front of people I didn’t really know – Across the pool table in a Naafi bar/Cpls Mess in Melton Mowbray in 1983/4 (?) – trousers round the ankles – boots on – shirt undone, but still on. That’s both of us btw. The challenge was to shag to the rhythm and keep in time to Relax from start to finish without cumming. And it had to be full length strokes, not the short, hardly moving type of thing.
Doesn't sound like much of a challenge, but if you have it, put it on, and work it through your head, or do it. If I tried it now, I think my heart would probably give out by two thirds through it
We started off with her sat on the edge leaning back over the table. But some way into the song I had to lean forward and very romantically whisper in her ear “Turn over so we can do it doggy, or I’m just gonna explode right now. Can you afford to get the drinks in for this lot ???”
Moments in love by the Art of noise.
I believe Madonna used it in one of her marriage ceremonies. But even before Madge used it I knew that would be the tune for me. Now all I need is to meet a nice girl I can call my wife, any takers. rolleyes

I've been digging a bit down in the vaults (not far enough down to find the Sarge  ), and found a thread worth reviving, especially for Judy's contribution (see page 1 lol )
Never been married, but I've always had "Devoted To You" by Carly Simon & James Taylor earmarked as my song should I ever find myself going up or down the aisle.
I'm currently trying to persuade BB to walk down the aisle to this..... and walk back down it to this.... ....she's putting up a little resistance

Don't think it wasn't considered....as was and but we weren't sure we could get the guests to chant Jonathon
You mean you can choose ?
FFS, she never mentioned that
OKies, 'play list' would have to include :
- No Quarter by Led Zeppelin
- Don't Let Me Be Mis-Understood, Elvis Costello version
- Feel Like Making Love by Bad Company
I vote the Empire theme from Star Wars smile
