well i was having as chat with my gardener..................
I've heard of this....on my first day of my new job I was in my bosses car, we stopped at the house we were visiting and she said "ooh watch out for the wife swappers, they have a pampas grass"!!
I made this bizarre nervous laughing sound and she must have thought I was a right weirdo - yeah go on say it - I am !

)............. but yup after seeing the pic ..... I know what it is now! I don't have any though. I don't do gardens. I buy houses with yards so I am not tempted to start spending my Sundays in garden centres :roll: :lol: However I do recall that my parents used to have some of this in their garden :shock: before they had a flagged - phew, maybe their removing of the grass means that they are now retired swingers and I'm not going to bump into them in a club :shock: :shock: :shock:

I've not got pampas grass in the tiny front garden, and hadn't heard of it before as a sign that swingers lived in a property.
I'd guess the rumour probably started because it grows like crazy and gets to about 12-15 feet high. It's also damn near impenetrable. I've had to dig one out of my Mum's back garden years ago, took me about four hours and I broke a pickaxe in the process.

Yes there was...and I now have that picture in my grubby mitts... Was you staying at El-Cheapo Hotel" ??? ( though I didn't notice the Pampus Grass until someone else pointed it out...and I'd been flicking fag ends into it from the window for a good hour..)
