Wet shave or electric shave

Having a conversation with Kev this morning cus he was saying he needed some new blades for his razor....and to be totally honest I was moaning that it only seemed like 5 mins since I picked up his last lot.
He says a pack of 4 mach3's should only last a month.....knickers I say he should use each blade longer.......now he says I don't understand.
Cus my idea is he should buy an electric shaver, one outlay and be done with it.
Apparently a wet shave gets closer than an electric shave, so I thought I would get the guys to vote on this one to see if he is right or not.
Thank god for veet!!!

Don't you still have to replace the blade bit on an electric razor dunno
Louise xx
I get a much closer shave with an electric shaver. I replace the foil across the moving blade, but only about once a year.
Use a pre-electric lotion beforehand to get a better shave.

Definitely a wet shave for me although it must be about 20 years since I used an electric shaver. It seemed to pull more hair out than cut any! I'd like to try a new one just to see how it feels.
I actually use both... and most days too!
I have a wet shave every night.. and an electric shave every morning just before work.. keeps me very smooth most of the time but even with that still have another wet shave before any meet (well just in case lol just in case) lol

Electric for me (well battery/rechargeble actually). Shave the face once a day for around 5 minutes and then spend another 3 or 4 minutes on the dangly bits. I wouldn't want to put a sharp (or blunt) razor blade anywhere near my John Thomas thanks very much!
I hate electric razors.
the first one i had felt awful, so i bought the most expensive electric razor you could get, thinking this would be better. It was every bit as bad.
Much prefer wet shave, saying that i have been a tramp and not shaved now for 14 days, purely cos im too lazy!!!!
Am i being naive here are we talkin about shaving the face or down and around your bits??????
face mainly i think! well i was!
I use both ! electric for speed and convenience but definitely a wet razor for quality.
I find it hard to believe you can get a 4 pack to last a month, 2 or 3 shaves and mine are done ! I guess it depends on your hair type. Yeah you could make them last longer but you're gonna get razor burn and rashes when they irritate the skin !

Well i use elecrtic razor for daily use, I shave the night before work as too disorganised in the mornings.
Then on sunday I treat myself after a long relaxing soak in the bath to a wet shave the steam really helps with a wet shave.
Verdict: wet shave is a much closer shave though still very rarely am i able to shave without a nic or too somewhere.
I do use a wet shave around me bits, it's scary though the concentration whilst I'm doing it hehehe!
i wet shave every 2 days   any more and u get real pricly bits any less and it seeems pointless only to hanve the same regrowth the next day biggrin :D
I do both
I used to electric shave and only wet shave for special occasions. Now that I'm single and dont need to worry about it on a daily basis I tend to wet shave every few days and only electric shave in an emergency.
I personally find that mixing the 2 togther is not good for my face, so is leaving it a week then really going for it with a used blade redface
Stubble is a lot tougher than you think and dulls a blade a lot quicker than you think, and at the cost of new ones you wonder why blades are the most stolen items in a supermaket.
Wet shave is better and closer but if you get it wrong also burns more.
It has to be a wet shave as when I 1st tried the electric razor many moons ago it brought me out in a rash mad .
Though thinking on it I could try one of the new type electric razors as they are new & improved.

Yeah me too! A wet shave is far far better for me. I use an old fashioned Gillette single blade razor, closest thing to a 'cut-throat', a badger hair shaving brush, and a moisturising shaving soap.
Best AND closest shave ever!
cool
definatly a wet shave it gets much closer than electric
Prefer a wet shave, but if I'm off at a re-enactment event I'll take the electric, although you do get people asking "what's the strange buzzing noises coming from your tent!" lol
I like it wet
