Mrs TE and i have just had an hilarious discussion as to what music we want played when we're dead!! I enjoyed it so much that I'm determined to shuffle off this mortal coil before her just to ensure she does it!! :giggle:
As my coffin comes in I want 'The Fliight of the Valkyries' playing ( you know Apocalypes Now!) - this I feel will give the assembled grief stricken attendees the feeling of freedom and delightful flight I'll be experiencing at that particular moment.
Then as the proceedings come to a conclusion I want 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life'. This, I want, because I'm such a miserable pessimist now I want all gathered to learn from the experience. (This, of course is total bollox - I'm making the most of it right now!! - get back to you all on that one!!)
So - as they say in the Bar of Heaven or Hell - 'What's yours????'
Strangely my choice is also an Eric Idle song - the theme from "One Foot In The Grave"
I wanna be in a Muslim heaven, coz I hear they get loadza wimin attending to your every whim. lol
Where've you been lately, cu3b4ll my friend? - good to see you back!!
I gotta be the first to say it....
Stairway to Heaven lol

Sinatra's, My Way.

I prefer the Sex Pistols version myself. lol
If I had to pick only one song to be played at my funeral I'd probably choose Ripple by the Grateful Dead, preferably the cover by Jane's Addiction I've got on my hard disk at the moment. In the past, I've also thought about Pete Tosh (from the Wailers) performing Get Up, Stand Up solo with acoustic guitar.
For music to come into the service to, my sense of humour would allow nothing other than Pete Seeger's solo banjo interpretation of Beethoven's Ode to Joy (it has yodelling). smile

Why thank you kind sir! Been lurkin' occassionally but work's been a bitch and kept me off line far too much. I must say it's good to be back though - keeps me out of trouble
