Mrs Bone is the only person on this thread (so far) that has answered FB's question sincerely (you forgot cake icing btw). Why is it that people don't want to add their bit? Are they afraid of being seen as blowing their own trumpets? Or as Duncan says being subject to hate (in reality envy/jealousy) rather than appreciation?

I'm quite good at being funny sometimes. Helps if the poor recipient has a sense of humour though. wink

Boy that is just so sad, we are ALL good at something, a redeeming feature or skill that makes us what we are and appreciated by others.

I'm good at entertaining old folk and children, singing, DJ-ing and KJ-ing.
I'm also good at telling people when I love 'em - not always a good thing lol

I'm bad at - self discipline, getting out of bed, being cruel to be kind.

Sending bday and xmas cards on time (probably a symptom of not being organised!!)
Arguing (that's debating when I'm not right, on my soapbox, or making sweeping statements... all of which I can't resist!!)

I'm:
Good at writing things, good with words (not to mention apostrophes, brackets and punctuation). lol

Good with maps, navigating, finding my way to places.
Good at listening, talking to people, and putting people at their ease.
Have a good memory.
Not very organised, but am usually punctual.
Not very observant.
Hopeless at DIY, artistic things, handicrafts, and any handyman stuff (good with my hands in another way though wink

).

I'm with you on both accounts...
Where the kids are concerned a graze is a misadventure and Calpol is only used once or twice a year!!
I also am a good listener and follow the reality / fairness of a situation beats the not accepting it to overcome!!

Im very good at not keeping a straight face and can and do :giggle: at most situations
Im very good at not being assertive
Im very good at not being very good with giving off good body language
Im very good at being very bad
And so in summing up this means Im not half as bad as I think I am!

My main 'talent' is making a solution out of existing resources. I'm absoutely rubbish at coming up with anything original.
My main failure? I can't make Yorkshire puddings. And me - born and bred in the heart of Yorkshire!!!! The shame of it!!

well what am i good at(one minute i will ask the other half) i know names of films and who star in them,and wot other films they have been in. im also told i am a good cook,make good pastry.
i can be a moody im hoping that is changing very slowley.

In no particular order ... lol

Good at:
i. Driving & racing on track
ii. Getting others to understand my point of view, after understanding theirs (+ good listener)
iii. Convincing others (although that doesn't work well in the SH circle - possibly due to being a single male confused

)
iv. my job - getting businesses profitable
v. making decisions in a calm & collected manner
vi. controlling my temper - very cool temprament
vii. smart dressing
viii. cooking
ix. & doing anything pretty well as long as my heart and mind are set on it
x. charming & sleeping with almost every single woman who has been introduced face to face redface

Bad:
i. severly humiliating anyone who REALLY gets on my nerves (although it takes a very loooooong time to get to that stage)
ii. at housekeeping (thus the hired cleaner rolleyes

)
iii. at choosing a sane woman for a long term relationship (&/OR) driving them insane - can't (or can't be bothered anymore to) decide which is more often the case :lol:
iv. not washing my cars often
v. extremely short tempred & snappy when sleep is disturbed without a darn good reason (sex is always a good reason, but wake up for that should be well thought out though!)
vi. shoes crazy
vii. jackets crazy (worse than shoes)
viii. chat up lines, don't even attempt to!
that's plenty for now ... :eeek:
