making stuff... how things work etc etc
lp

How about
Animal Magic with Jonny Morris I thought he could really talk to the animals

who remembers these!
And what programme featured windows?
What window will we be looking through today?

Clangers!
I want one...
and tell me; Wollo the Wisp... did that show have a forest dwelling creature that lived in the roots of a tree?
Looked as if it had a beetroot for a head, upside down, with the rootie-bit as a strange straggly hair doo?
If that were the one... it absolutely terrified me!! !!
lp
I remember
- rushing home from school to watch "Shang a lang" the Bay City Rolers show!
- the one programme that gave me nightmares was called "Doomwatch" - there were killer, man eating rats once!!
- saturday afternoon wrestling (there used to be a grocery van that came around on a saturday and I always got a wagonwheel to watch during the wrestling)
- yep I remember "Lost in space" in black & white cos we only had a blsck & white tv!!
Im sure I will remember moew as the day goes on

rotflmao :rotflmao: I love your decription so funny lol
I did do a search; Beetroot-headed nasty thing, childrens tv.
nothing!
lp
Don't recall a beetroot headed nasty thing - a talking television, a fat pink fairy, a round dog thing with tiny legs and Willo the Wisp was Kenneth Williams made gaseous but no beetroots coming to mind confused
doesn't anyone remember the beetroot-headed nasty-thing?
It may have been on strings, a puppet?
a real Horror!
please tellme it was really on tele and not a product of my fevered infantile imagination?
Or worse still; something that really did terrify me from nieth the bed, stealing my blankets and circumcising me as I slept :scared:

There was a caterpillar called Arthur, a cat called Carwash and a beast which used to be a handsome prince but he was blue I think and not that scary.
