Well, thinking about the other post on 'is marriage important', we clearly do think so, seeing as we're getting married on 4th July next year (independence day! )
So I've been to a few weddings recently, both very different, and both made me think how we might have things go on the day.
Now I'm not just meaning the things that really are important, like spending time with all your loved ones and friends, all the people important to you being there- at the end of the day, that really is the main point of the wedding.
But what I want to know is what other wee extras made you enjoy a wedding that bit more than another?
And what things did you hate about a wedding?
For example, at one wedding they had a friend play guitar and sing jack johnstone better together, which was lovely, but then the band they had later on kept stopping and starting, which was a bit of a flop, as noone really danced!
A wedding i was at last week had a friend of the family who is an international harpist or something play as we arrived in the venue, but they also had a piper play outside so the harp was drowned out!
At another, the bride and groom had put wee stories about the guests on the back of the placecards as conversation starters- very cute!
So thoughts please!!!
