the list is endless, these are just a few of my favourite bands, right, your turn......
:karaoke:
Oh yeah, I go to shitloads of gigs aswell, anyone else confused: We could meet up :!: (to watch the gig :!: lol )
I love anything. OK lets qualify that... Apart from..... Opera, Spice Girls, DJ Casper, Cheeky Girls.... I shouldn't have started this.... Orvil, Ralf Harris.....
Solo, have you been to the Life Bar Cafe on a Fri/Sat night, some great bands down there, mainly playing covers, but get the right one and it would be right up your street.
Oh and for some reason I love the new Streets single 'Fit but dont you know it':
"Im not trying to pull you
Even tho i would like to
I think you are really fit
Your fit but my gosh dont you know it"
Ian
Scissor Sisters, C.P.E. Bach, Sting, Mandelson, Phillip Glass, Alex Parkes, Mozart, Dizzy Gillespie, Peter Gabriel, Chopin, Brahms, Pink Floyd..
Can't stand Petula Clark, though... evil
Hmmmm I have a weird taste in music......I love anything romantic and soppy but I also love Salsa and Lambada Music too.
In terms of particular artists, I love Elton John, Queen, Take That (yes, I admit it redface ), Russell Watson, Michael Jackson.
Is it true that Queen are reforming for a tour with the guy out of The Darkness?? I so hope it is true boink
You gotta listen to some Soul music people, anything from 60`s onwards virtually to the present day.
Jules Holland, Macie Gray, Joni Mitchell, Mamas and the Papas, Beatles, Roxy Music, Dave Bowie, Nickleback, Nirvana, Alicia Keys, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, Coldplay, Madonna, Peter Gabriel absolute fave, anything fast funky and loud will do.
Loads of chill out cds and classical music.
Love 'live' bands. Nothing beats that. Peter Gabriel best 'live' ever saw very multimedia show before it was even popular brill.
I sing very loud in the car which must amuse the general public and I love it lol

Am going through a Cuban music thing at the moment.....Just love Buena Vista Social Club
Kinky Lizard
Mmmmmm, quite varied :!:
Saw Queen in '86 at Maine Road, Manchester, I was only 14 nearly 15, I thought it was amazing, Ive been to hundreds of gigs since & still have it as one of my all time faves :!:
I think a few of you should try 'I Am Kloot', a Manchester band fronted by John Bramwell. a few of you might remember him as singer/songwriter Jonny Dangerously.
Can I be the site 'Muso' confused: :!: lol 8)

Hello P,
How pleased I was to see Ludovico Einaudi on your list. I am a complete fan of this man's music, which I heard , ages ago now, on Classic FM. What amazes me is the fact that his haunting Piano harmonies have captured the imagination of all generations and tastes. I heard his version of 'Lady Jane', the 'Stones' classic yesterday, and it moved me to tears. Anyone who hasn't...try him!!!
I also love Nyman, Philip Glass, Tallis, Byrd, Vaughan Williams and Beethoven.
On the popular front I enjoy Turin Breaks, Starsailor, Coldplay, Stones, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, The Coral, Cowboy Junkies, Jeff Buckley, Vangelis, Aimee Mann, ...oh, Dear Lord, it's endless..(does anyone remember 'Fox' from seventies-I was madly in love with the lead singer...)
I love Country &Western, and am Johnny Cash's no.1 fan; I enjoy Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris (last albumn-Falling into Grace -was beautiful), Alison Kraus, Gram Parsons.
I'm an old 'folkie'-love ALL of it-( and can still bash out a tune on whistle, guitar, mandolin and recorder-but not all at same time). Chieftains are no. 1, Pogues no.2.
I love Sinatra, Matt Monro, Julie London, Nat 'King' Cole, even Val Doonican
I love Gregorian Chant, Bulgarian folk, Cuban music, South American music-esp. of Andes, and South African harmony singing.
I've bored you all to death-I could go on-I won't-It's just that I love, really, really love, ALL MUSIC (except rap!!
I like anything from the sixties in particular what they call Buble gum pop. A record called don't you know by butterscotch.... that's my yukkey! side out of the way.
Love  blues guitar, the eagles, anything really except R&B which my daughter loves rolleyes like Starsailor and The Devine Comedy(when your arse is as big as a small country) :giggle: The Cars but like big band music also.

Music be the food of love.................

Then being a DJ for almost 30 years I've had to put up with the abysmal as well as the brilliant (AND had to buy it!!!) ( Always looking for work by the way!!!!! email me) lol
Fav??? Soft Cell's Tainted Love
Luv Alex Claire & Cameron xxx XXX
I'm seeing Peter Gabriel in June. Saw him last year and he is still as great as he ever was. Love the Darkness and Queen, so I reckon Justin fronting Queen would be fantastic; I'd definately go to see them, it would give me an excuse to wear my 'Queen' skinny T-shirt. Big fan of Kirsty McColl, Lou Reed, Pretenders, Beatles, The Byrds, The Kinks, Bowie, and.....er....Abba. I'm afraid you can't keep me off the dance floor when 'dancing queen' comes on. I love musicals, classical and some opera....as long as the fat lady isn't singing.
I prefer the Gloria Jones version of Tainted love - though I would as a soul boy!
I've already been vociferous over music on here, and it's got me into trouble!!!
So solosausage, which clubs do you go to in Manchester because given you're choice in music there's a good chance I know where you go.
As for I am Kloot, I am yet to pay for anything by them as I steal them from the band
Well as for me I'm more into your 60's soul but also I can't get away from the indie roots such as Pulp, Mondays, Belle and Sebastian, The Smiths I think sneaking to the Hacienda in my youth will scar me for life
See ya soon smile
I love all kinds of music, from Trance, Hard house, Tribal, to Pink Floyd, The Doors, SKA, rock, and Adam Ant, even some of my daughter`s tastes extend into mine, or should I say visa vera, Muse, Placebo, and much to her disgust, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers (she `grew out` of them!)!
Never been a huge fan of `Girly Pop` though, and if I do hear any I like, I tend to keep it under wraps, like a dirty little secret! lol
I love clubbing, proper clubbing, not the `meat markets`, because the atmosphere is so different to the one you find on a Saturday night in town, where the main sport is counting punchups on your way to the next pub! Everyone is there for the music, and everyone respects that.
Not that I go clubbing that often :violin: . Last time I went was in the last week of November, in Birmingham...................and that was a meat market! confused
Venusxxx
Bowie is awesome but I notice a lot of Red Hot Chilli fans on here. I bought their greatest hits recently and was delighted to see a tribute from the band about my all time favourites
Echo and the Bunnymen ( who they all cry in unison).
I have been going to watch the bunnies regularly since 1980. Best gig was in Liverpool .
" Wish that you were here wish that it was us need someone to help me I need someone to trust" Rust; Echo and the Bunnymen....Awesome lol
