I've followed this thread through and a thought that occurred to me is that when checking out womens profiles, a lot are blank. I understand why that might be... but it doesn't help the poser of the original question or anyone else get an answer as to why women are on site.. Men are castigated in various postings for not having profiles and info generally but women are there ...just because they are?? Can anyone explain why any member of the site gets away with no profile even if it says I do not choose to have a profile?
Also I have only just realised that some people do have adverts but they are not connected to their profile. This might also help men like me who want to connect to like minded people, send realistic proposals to women they think might be suitable?

I think having a blank profile equates to being ex-directory, it says 'no cold calling' to me, which is why it bemuses me when I get winks from guys with blank profiles but thats a different issue, one covered in many other threads. If a woman is using this sight purley for social reasons and not actively looking then I think she has every right to have a blank profile. I'm not sure what you mean by having an ad that's 'not connected' to their profile, do you mean saying one thing in profile and a different thing in an ad?

I think it's perfectly acceptable for men, women or couples to have a blank profile if they don't want random people contacting them.
If someone comes in here moaning that they can't get a shag and they haven't got an ad, pics or completed profile then the advice given is usually to complete the above whether it be a male, female or couple.
The reality is that the latter is usually the single males

There can be many reasons.
Okay I'm a bloke, but the reason my profile is incomplete and I don't have an ad, is that I like to meet people through the chatroom. In there I can get some sort of rapport (is that how it's spelled????) with them as this is very important to me. I also don't have pics, because usually I have my (face) cam turned on, so I don't really see the point.
I don't even post in the forum much either, mainly because on other non-swinging sites, my dry humour often comes across as simply insulting and I wouldn't want people to think I'm like that. In live chat, it is easier to show who you are.

just looked at your profile and something i don't understand is why some people tick nearly all boxes....i mean what could you possibly want in a gay female or gay female couple?......so it swings both ways.....some have blank profiles,some have ticked everything...go figure!

Another point is that the whole mediium of communicating through the net is anonymous and it would be reasonable to introduce yourself, it also reduces the number of ads to check out?
To H-x the reason for the comment about ads was that the profile of a poster here stated the member had no adverts but the poster quoted they had an advert - a technical error of the site perhaps?

I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong, I hate to make assumptions) that da69ve was commenting on the fact that you have gay single female and gay female couple checked in your 'who I'm lookig for' bit. It's been discussed a few time here as to why a man might be looking for this, I must admit I find it a little strange?

Strange but true?My ticks are based on experience and whishes - not all the experience is my own. My life doesn't fit into a box on the grounds that I think you should be who you are and not fit into a box made by someone else. That's the main reason for being on this site folks.
