ok here goes, i am petrified of bees and wasps, dunno why, i just am.
i have been known before today to shut my kids in a room with said bee or wasp and hide on the other sude of the door till it has gone.
last yr in the summer a wasp dared to fly into our house through an open window (must have forgot to shut it as in the summer dont normally have windows open for that exact reason) i pegged it upstairs with my kids this time, and called my lovely cee, who was working quite far a way and demanded that he come home to remove the offending body from our house, it was met with shouts of no way at first, but i explained to him that there was no way i was coming out of the bedroom to cook the dinner until the wasp had gone.......... so he reluctantly said he would come home.......................only to find an hour later when he had come home that the wasp had actually left of its own accord and the emergency was over.
also did i mention that i am also scared of cows, sheep, chickens, geese....................
BUT not as bad as my friend who is petrified of baked beans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right now, I am scared of the bastard thunder storm that is going on - cos Den has abandoned me to go see his mammy n pappy! grrrr
Errrr....moths.....and butterflies FFS!
I actually do have the most bizarre phobias besides thunder storms....
Prawns and lobsters being one of them, I have only ever met one other person with a shell fish phobia! I had to quit my old job in a hotel cos the chefs locked me in the store cupboard with live lobsters crawling about the flloor- i had to hide on top of the freezers crying until someone rescued me!
Reckon I should have sued for the distress that it caused- scarred for life!
I'm also scared of china dolls, rocking horses, clowns (evil creatures) (well in fact that sounds likemost childhood toys....)
I also hate jelly fish (been stung soo many times), and creatures in the sea that i can't see (yet I love scuba diving)
For a gymnast, I'm also bizzarely scared of heights....
Den is a big pussy and is scared of flying things, especially wasps, and bees, but even flies and he's been know to run screaming when a butterfly floated past!
Having said all that, I have held a tarantula, swam with sharks, ski-dived, swung on a flying trapeze......
spiders...cant stand spiders!
I'm scared of heights - well not exactly - I can look out of an aeroplane window no problem, but put me up a step ladder and I turn into a quivering wreck (scary sight believe me). So you can imagine the fun when I have to do any decorating - clinging onto the ladder and whimpering while I try to pluck up the courage to let go with one hand and actually put the paint on the wall. :giggle:
I'm also terrified of the 'thing under the bed'. You know, the thing that will drag you under if you stick your foot over the side?
My son has a very common phobia - he's terrified of hard work. LOLOLOL
Having grown up in military family, there are only two occasions to be truly scared in life and that is if you see an officer with a map or a sailor with a rifle !
I'm petrified of dolls - think I watched Chucky too young!!!
And clowns, again down to my love of horror films - Stephen Kings IT - scared the shite out of me - yet I still read the book on a regular basis, just to confirm I 'm still scared!!!
Wow! Im now weirdly reassured.....I thought I was alone in my butterflyaphobia!
I wonder if theres a real word for it?
Clowns seem to be a common one, they are pretty sinister!
Mr W is scared of Cows!
The only thing I can think that I'm truly scared of public speaking!
my bank and credit card balanes
cows, i am scared of cows, they look at you funny
clowns werent particularly scary until the film IT but dont like em now
wasps are just vindictive bastards
being on my own for the rest of my life and being a lonely old woman
think thats it for now
Earthy xx
Spiders :scared:
Don't like heights but don't mind rollercoasters that are high. Don't like bridges either, combination of height and often the water below
Don't like going in the sea if I can't see the bottom. Don't like fish swimming round my feet in the sea either.
