Mine is Greenday - When september ends.
It was my sisters favourite song because it reminded her of our dad who had died 7 years ago in the september.
Sadly my sister died suddenly and we had it played at her funeral, she died 1 year ago today.
The words were spooky as it mentions 7 years since the father had passed in the septermber. My dad had died in the september 7 years ago too and my wonderful sister went in the october.
Oh dear i'm waffling now while blubbering. Sorry.

In Brassed Off, the Concierto De Aranjuez. It's played over scenes of miners fighting for their livelihoods (not Scargill - real miners) and the management talking to the press etc. It's heartbreaking. (I was 15 when Thatcher destroyed the industry and it made a real impression on me.)

Does anyone remember an African Gospel group made famous in the UK by a heinz ad? Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
There's a song on their album, Heavenly, called "Take my hand, precious lord." Their rendition of it always has me blubbering- especially at times like this.
From memory.....
"precious lord, take my hand
lead me on, help me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.
Through the storm, through the night
lead me on, to the light,
take my hand, precious Lord. Lead me home.
........."
I have it hear- but I daren't go near it right now.
