what to say about the new SH pins when asked....

OK, kind of on a tangent from bluexxx's "how to wear the pins" thread.... but i have seen Ice Pie has already been asked what the pin is about by some Canadians on a train back from the Notts munch, and someone at work asked me what the pin was for... soooooo ..... do you tell the truth? or do you just remain coy? Or do you tell an outright fib?
People asking about the SH pins is going to come up again and again i think... so maybe we need some "stock" answers for those who get asked by their mates, workmates and erm.... mothers.... :shock:
When i was asked, i replied "it's just a badge"... and on further questioning i just repeated my first answer....
What are you going to say?????

Well I aint got the pleasure of wearing mine as yet rolleyes

But........ When i do and ANYONE asks me... ANYWHERE I will be very proud to stand there (wherever it may be)and explain that it is a pin representing a small community of people that i socialize with on a regular occasion......
And if asked anything after that I think and hope that i will carry on and be able to say its a swinging community....

I got my badge on sat night, then pinned it to my bag so i wouldn't lose it....
had forgot all about it till later on at a family bbq on sunday i was asked by my sister what it was for..... i just said it was some charity pin.... redface

I meant that if you were talking to someone you didn't really know who could be a member, they would guess that you are in full knowledge of what it means if you said something with the same initials.

I'd tell them it's a member's badge from a website forum I'm on - family would get the Christopher Brookmyre forum - everyone else ( and some family ) would get sent here, told to join and enjoy the social atmosphere ( forget the free love and rampant shagging! )

I know, but if you say something completely different then even if the person actually did know what the badge was about they might think you don't and leave it at that but if you say something with the same initials, then it's a clue that you know but you aren't telling in case the person asking doesn't know but it gives a hint to them so they know that you know. ok biggrin
