my first car was a lovely ford capri. it was green with a black vinyl roof and black slates in the back window. It was a 1600 xl and i loved it. although it was a difficult car to park.
White VW Beetle - H or J reg, too long ago to remember....called Baby.
This isn't him, but very similar.
Fiat Strada,I could start the ignition with a 2p piece! redface
shortly before i was due to take my test (which i failed.. and never re-took), i was conned into buying an Feista XR2 MII. now this is back in my younger more "beleive anything" days... went to insure it.. and couldn't so it sat on my drive till it rotted away.
my first car was an L reg vauxhall viva, in silver saved up all my own money, i was 17 and picked it up the day before my 17th birthday, i had enough money to buy it £350 but Dad paid to insure it for me, had if for about 2 years bombing up and down the motorway then blew the engine, had to take it to the scraper watching it being crushed haunts me to this day lol

My first car was a Cortina MK111 in white

Pig of a car but I loved it biggrin - Ended up Hammerite black.
a mk1 ford escort 1300l given to me by my uncle because it was only worth about 20 quid scrap be worth a fortune today biggrin
Mark 2 Escort 1300 sport 1978 T Plate in Carnival Red, this model had a Weber twin-choke carb, close-ratio gearbox, brake servo, sports wheels, front head restraints and a rev-counter. Had it resprayed, new seats, new wings, arches, doors, front valance, new dif, springs, shockers etc. But other parts just rusted and when it rained water flowed in eventually.
Mine was a white Austin 1300 cost me £200. I learnt how to repair and fill rust holes, prolifically, as well as change points, fan belt , replace the water pump(what a bastard that was). But apart from that I loved it.
I can recall there was only one position the girlfriend and I could make love in without one or other of us getting excruciating bouts of cramp in .
Lostie my second car was a Cortina Mk III a coppery brown I loved it also (t had an oval steering wheel if I recall)and it had a reclining front seat ahhh bliss
Mine was a bright red Mini 1000, ENP 891J, given to me on my 21st birthday... I had it for 6 weeks then put it into a dry-stone wall on the Snake Pass at 75mph.
1982 Lotus Eclat that I reversed up a telegraph pole when it was 6 weeks old!

My first was a H reg light blue fiesta, I loved it, would probably still have it now if some bastard hadn't stolen it and broken it. I was so upset I couldn't even bring myself to go and inspect the damage!.
A Mini Metro in British Geriatric Cream lol
On the first day I had it, part of the exhaust fell off just round the corner from where I bought it! Two days later I discovered that the fuel gauge was faulty and optimistic - fortunately I ran out of petrol just round the corner from the place I bought it from too!
It was a good first car though, great visibility (like driving in a golfish bowl) and exciting at high speeds (hit 70 and it started to shake). I quite liked it! biggrin
Grey Ford Fiesta
I loved that car, but you always do love your first one don't you wink
My first car (which i own outright not just part owner with mr) is a purple mini, called Melvin, he is sooooooooooooooooooooooo cute, I love Mini's but alas poor melvin is poorly at the moment, Anyone know owt bout mini's and help me get poor melvin back on his own four wheels lol
my first car was a rover 100 kensington i really loved it but it was too small for mr wade being 6 ft 2" i could turn it on a coin had no problems with parking. but because it was so small the jokes came thick and fast, like if you turned it over it had corgi written on it, or if it needed washing that i could put it in the sink. but i'd have it back 2morrow. :inlove:
