I had an Austin Allegro first but the subframes were rotten so never got it on the road.
The first car i used on the road was an Opel Kaddet (same as the Vauxhall Chevette) saloon.

Oh
Used my dads car first which was a Chrysler Alpine (Crashed)
I',ve had two Triumph Dolomites (1500 and 1850). Never managed to get the Sprint version.
Austin Maestro (Crashed)
Vauxhall Chevette, Nova SRi (Crashed), Astra 1.4 CD, and currently on a Cavalier 2.0 which i had in 1995 at two years old and its still going strong with only one break down (8 year old battery buggered up) Also had a new cat fitted this year.

austin allegro 1.1 burgundy with two ( count em ) gold go faster stripes, a tiny racing car steering wheel, pumped up shockers at the rear and smalle tyres at the front...break lights on the rear window......oh remember the crappy wooden consuls from halfords ..one of them had my cassette player in that wow it was a cracker![]()
unfortunately ......had no floor in the back.......had to have extra battery to work cassette player ahem and for starting ......oh and did`nt go any faster than 50mph........oh and travelled from Glasgow to Torquay with three mates and a tent one summer.........think it took 4 days to get there........
the camp site was outside peignton and the lads had to get out and push the car up all those steep hills to get to the camp site
