well, i'm 35, still not much of a swinger, and probably couldn't have even considered it a few years back. but that's just me. always was bloody slow! ;)

to find out the average age you would need to add up the ages of everyone on here and then divide that by the number of swingers.. what a way to spend an evening or two eh

That would only work if you wanted the mean average, the medium average were you take all the ages put them in order and then find the middle one might be most apropriate. Or the Mode where you find out how many there are of each age and discover the most often occuring one!!

Although I didn't think about it as "swinging" at the time, I guess I started at the age of 16 when I fell into a ménage et trois relationship with two good friends. I've always been comfortable with the idea, but didn't act on it again until I "rediscovered" swinging earlier this year with Vix.

My idea of a good night in isn't exactly spending it number crunching, unless it was with Carol Vordaman!
I might be tempted to do a bit of arithmatic and work out what the average bra size on SH was, but I wouldn't use mean, mode or medium - I'd use the man method

well i was 23 when i started swinging... fair enough i'm now only 24 , but thats not the point!!

We had our first tentative steps (pre kids) about 24 and had it a bit hit and miss until 30ish. Up until recently we thought that we would have to wait until the kids had grown up a bit which would have been a disaster.
But then we found this site and realised that apart from the fact that everyone appears to be around about the 25-40 age mark, it doesn't really matter what age you are as long as you are up for fun AND friendship which we have found is in abundance here.
