Warming the Bed
Everyone has one, for one reason or another and each can probably remember a song from that particular year.. so what was it and what did you do? are you ever gonna beat it?
Personally for me it had to be 2001, it was the hottest summer i can remember, i had lived on my own for 3 years by that time, i was 21 and had made many friends in a new town, a love interest had shown up just in time for the summer, she was 17 and the cutest thing i have ever seen, still friends today which is cool, i had just got my frist car so the road was my oyster, Also by this time i was well into the clubbing scene (strictly music clubs) and had 2 fine tickets for creamfields 2001, i had the best blast dancing and glo-stick waving until the sun came up and many a night just sat out on the river mersey with my mates, a cool pint of XXXX, any whiskey from the 200 selection behind the bar until the sun went down again
That has to be my best summer

About 7 years ago, 1997. I was in a dull relationship looking to get out and I met a man who made me feel so special. We went for walks in the country, he always met me for lunch, we had so much fun.
I fell very much in love that summer smile Best feeling in the world, and it's grown and grown and grown and now I'm not ever going to let him go :)

Without a doubt 1971 when I was a teenager. I met a girl called Judy in Mauritius fell in love and had the most wonderful time. hand in hand on the beach ,cosy evenings, walks by moonlight, all the romantic stuff. At the end of summer she went back to Australia and I never heard of her again. I still wonder what happened to her.

For me.... it was 1996....
At the time, I was working as a motorcycle courier in London..there was a tremendous feel good factor, mainly because England were flying in Euro 96. St George flags everywhere. As I remember, the weather that summer was also pretty darn good.

The hottest summer i can remember was 1995 but wasnt my best as i was heavily pregnant with my first-born and hot n sticky and unconfortable.
Best summer was 2001 when i had not long come out a really bad relationship and got back on my feet and loved the summer. Song remembered at the time was Sonique Cant remember the name of the song but didnt stop dancing in my kitchen LOL biggrin
It was also later in that year that i met Steve :P
So 2001 was an all round good year :bounce:
