faced with an ever depleting selection of toast type additives in my fridge i feel i need assistance. So I thought I would ask if there are any alternatives to Marg/Butter and Jam/Marmalade. That one would find in the average household

peanut butter and jam :P either seperate or together .
Lightly grilled & chopped bacon, on cheese, & then grilled until crisp. Yum yum! :P
Almost forgot......... tuna fish mixed with mayonnaise & Lea & Perrins, spread on the toast, & then covered over with Edam. Grill until well done. Fantastic. No wonder I had to spend so long on the diet thread. :shock: :shock:

toast one side of the bread under the grill, turn it over and spread tomato sauce on it,
on go 's the sliced cheese, pepper, paprika, sage and basil, toast a bit, then put on some worstershire sauce or sheffield sauce if your vegetarian and finish toasting,

Very hot toast dripping with irish butter and then cold ham.

ok maybe the apple put you off. get 3 slices of bread, and while the grill is warming up, take salad out of fridge. you will need letteuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and a few slices of onion. take penut butter out of cubard and spread on bread, the grill should be hot by now so take fish fingers out of packet and place eight onto hot fish fingers are ready and nicely browned, lay salad onto first slice of bread, followed by 4 of the fish fingers. lay next slice of bread followed by .the 2nd layer of salad onto 2nd layer of bread, followed by the last 4 fish fingers. slam on the last slice of bread, and pop under the grill. wait untill toasted then flip it over and toast the other side. bingo scooby snack
