whats your favourite movie
'Best film I've seen recently'? As in the last 12 months or last 12 days?
For the former - 'City of God'. Just visceral, raw cinema beautifuly paced and acted, with wonderful characters and a gut-reaching storyline.
For the latter - 'The Incredibles'. Hilarious start to finish, and smarter, sharper and more subversive than any Disney film has a right to be: 'Saying everybodys special is just another was of saying nobodys special'. Pixar does Nietzsche...
Or, 'Best film ever, which I just happened to have watched again for the n'th time recently'?
If so, then so many to choose... Welles, Scorsese, Soderbergh, Almodovar, Tarantino, Lars von Trier, Kurosawa...
I'd genuinely have to go for a dead heat between 'Ferris Bueller' and 'Dumb and Dumber'.

Like Freckle, the Die Hard trilogy is a classic, I remember sitting in cinema watching the first....bloody briliant!!!!!
But im also a fan of the old classic horror films of the 70's before censorship caught up with the release of the video...
