I cannot help laughing at the current Barclays advert...... the one where the machine thinks it's going to take over the company and make them all redundant.... runs off down the corridor... until it reaches the end of it's electrical flex....... the plug comes out of the wall.... and the computer goes....'Ohhhh'....
What's your favourite tv advert??????
equi-princess xxx
The marmite one! lol
Its got to be the guinness one with the catchy tune biggrin :D
The one with the panda .
' I feel like chicken tonight' . Just makes me laugh lol . Liked it's predessor where the panda nicks his evening meal.
The one for some men's scent, can't remember which one, with the inCREDibly sexy guy jumping along a pier in time with the waves.... mmmmm. It's the wicked grin that does it
The Regency mortgage ad with the carpenter, mechanic and seamstress. But only at the end when the seamstress is talking and the mechanic is pretending to fix the car, then looks up with a grin which always sends me into fits of giggles.
And the perfume advert with the naked man at home getting a cup of coffee and kicking the cushion around, Yummeeee
I always chuckle at those ads with Windy Miller in them (can't remember the product though) lol

Of course it is
Obviously the advert over-shadows the product (or I'm just a big kid who likes the animation better  )
Molly? From The Feathers? You old rascal Windy Miller
Definitly the 'Smash' advert
lol

I grin when I see two young women jog past my place in the morning... problem is I'm usually still in my jammies, it's too damn cold outside and I'm just lazy
In my slightly obsessive video collection, I have several adverts that I have video'd on purpose, sadly my database of videos (including the special adverts databased) is stuck on my old hard drive waiting to be copied so I can't check it now but can confirm I have the following kicking around somewhere:
Wait... Ive found my old handwritten records before the database and definitely have the following ads, most of which I especially copied using two VCR's to keep for all time
John Smith's Bitter ("We need a bit of action"with Jack Dee walking along with a blue background filled in with all multitude of wild goings on)
Hula Hoops Basketball Advert (I can't remember this one but it's there on Scotch 49, 8 hours, 7 minutes and 37 seconds into the total elapsed time of the tape (Did I ever mention I was an anorak confused: )
Walkers crisps (Spice girls makeup ad (or a crisp)) reveal my notes for Scotch 50 but I can't remember it.
Weetabix "Driving Test" (also from Scotch 50 Tape and one of my all time favourites, you can view it on the Weetabix website you know, along with the Robin Hood "Have you had your weetabix" advert which I sadly don't have) - this (driving test) was to the tune of I will survive.
Argos Advert (Darth Vader) Can't remember this but its on Memorex 26 twice along with a selection of Matt Le Tissier Goals, a clip from Batman (60's series), an episode of Sykes, an episode of Trumpton, a whole episode of Batman and a classic French Comedy, Jour De Fete (which is fantastic), slight eclectic mix there :!:
Walkers crisps again (Spice Girls/Gary Lineker) on twice back to back on the tape so must be good
Scotch Video Tapes (Absolute classic with that skeleton singing re-record not fade away)
Fosters Advert (Strange Dance says my notes, recorded two and a bit times)
Tunes (Darth Vader) I have half a recollection of this one a wonderful bit of editing and overdubbing.
I cannot find it but I know somewhere I have the "You know when youv'e been tangoed" advert, and I have a two and a half hour DVD of Public Information Films which contains six Charley Says... from 1973, Dave Prowse as the Green Cross Code Man (do they count), some truly chilling and shit scary adverts, and a beauty of an opus officially called "Pedal Safety Song" (chapter 150) but better known as "Get yourself seen" I make it 57 seconds long featuring folk from 1978 making their pushbikes and selves bright at night. I fancy the blonde woman in it myself.
It's all flooding back now, me and my dad used to fall about at the Hamlet adverts (the photobooth one comes to mind) and the Smash adverts, and wasn't Lynda Bellingham always rather sexy and naughty in the oxo ads (or was that just me :?: ) the Milky Bar Kid adverts and a Milky Way advert about the red car and a blue car having a race plus all those dreamy women in the Flake adverts.
But my favourite of all time which I had the pleasure of seeing on large screens at my recent Seventies weekend, those old Ford Capri adverts with the tagline "It goes like lightning", cue orgasmic sounds from me as I lust at them  :P
Sorry I've woffled on a bit, but I'm allowed to now I'm a member of the 1000+ club lol

That's the one I mentioned, but I think it's a perfume or something as it ends with for men, and women. But I agree with you on his bum biggrin wink
Anyone else remember the Clarks shoes ad that was on in the late 70s or early 80s? (showing my age!)
Three kids chose shoes and then said what they wanted to be when they grew up. The last little girl was really precocious and said "£when I grow up, mommy says I'm going to be a proper little madam!" It was really cute.
Always reminded me of my sister - and she did grow up to be a proper little madam too!
boink (have always liked that emoticon but am never sure where to use it, so I'm using it now!)

Got to agree, i was still at school then but i remember thinking she could teach me a thing or to and not about cooking, Hats off to the youth of today for coming up with the word MILF biggrin .
My other favourite advert at the moment is for Hewlett Packard printers , exciting ay !.
The bloke stands there putting his head into different picture frames .
Catchy tune as well , 'Outta the picture inta the frame' da da da da ,d do do do .
But that's another thread !
Well there certainly has been some classics as Hary as pointed out - he also has covered off most of the adds biggrin
Errr Harry, some people collect porn films, some people collect stamps, errr you? You collect TV adverts????
Be afraid - be very afraid :D :D :D
Anyway - from the funny ones two stick out - Cadburys Smash with the tin aliens (although I thought the product was one of the most disgusting things that has ever been in my mouth)
The original Youv'e Been Tangoed ads (shame they got banned)
And from a sheer classic perspective, the Guinness add featering the white stallions and an old geezer surfing
My fave has to be the John Smiths ad with Peter Kay as the DJ at the wedding reception where he plays "Annie I'm not your Daddy" for the bride. Quality lol
I have no idea which car it advertises...... but the one where they fight eachother for the keys... and she ends up dancing in the fountain whilst he swans off with the car......
And another car advert... where it makes out he's having an affair.... but it turns out that its his wife..... lol
Great ads...... just cannot remember the cars........ lol
