My own workshop fixing classic cars and landrovers.
after just getting home from a abd night shift this thread has just reminded me of why i do my job!
so i can raise enough money to move back to my paridise,i lived in a tee-pee on the side of a mountain in southern spain for the best part of three years, smile
it was sheer heaven i didnt touch a single coin for a whole year of that time growing most of my food & bartering for the rest, only wearing clothes if i needed to go to town (which wasnt very often) & lots of very good friends that looked after each other & would do anything for you :)
yep it was/is heaven there & i will be back there one day biggrin

keep thinking about the 'backup pan' i dreamed up in my youth (and it's getting more tempting all the time)
give up the daily grind here, sell everything and move somewhere sunny, buy a boat and spend my days taking tourists out sightseeing and fishing. maybe try and open a little bar for some evening entertainment. just fancy getting away from some of the crap that comes from living here and live a little more simply

Every time an idea starts with doing something for people, (i.e. tourists), buy a boat, run a bar, you can bet your life it will be hard graft for peanuts, so the illusion is best kept in your dreams. Wrong permits in the bar, health and safety, driving miles in the hot sun for engine spares for the damn boat, think of all the crap, (been there).
Save till you don't need the work, then it will be fun. Sit in someone else's bar, choose your own company on your own boat. A beer in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, painting the boat, chatting to the other idlers, not having to be anywhere, that's paradise.
