I sleep with my wife, perhaps an arm cast over in a hug.
...but today I have been to sleeping with someone disturbs sleep, causes poor health and early death.
So here is the question; is sex on tap worth an early death?
I'd like to add a further aspect to the survey which has always fascinated me..
If in the same bed, which way round? M with F to his left? (which is the way we have been in over 35 years together).
However, when walking in the street, it is the other way round for us, F to the right and I am uncomfortable the other way round.
Strange?
What do others think/do?
At home I take the right side, that is not always the case other places.
I don't know why!
My b/f and I cuddle most of the night and would not have it any other way awwwwwww even though some times we dont sleep well.
Me on the left
B/f on the right
We sleep in the same bed, although it is the size of a small county. When sitting in bed I'm on the left and he is right (the only time he is allowed to be right :gigglesmile. We cuddle before sleep but I cannot get to sleep if he is touching me except for maybe our feet in contact sad. I usually face away from him too, partly because I make 'sleepy noises' and partly because I dislike feeling him breathing on me during the night. I know it sounds like we should sleep separately, but neither of us sleep better alone.

I thought I was the only one.. lol
in bed together ... Rose on the right when at home .. but when hoteling it all depends which is the nearest side to the loo door for her.. im the lucky chap that gets to negotiate the bedroom and all its wonders in complete darkness in the middle of the night trying to find the bathroom..
sometimes rose sleeps in the middle... depends who is in there with us... but thats NEVER all night
just read the link ... so more on the subject.. ive sleapt apart from Rose once due to a hospital over night stay a couple of years ago or so...was the worst nights sleep ive ever had ..didnt like it missed her terribly and would rather snuggle up in a big lumpy old bed than sleep anywhere without her....
staggy
x
So, after all these years I finally have proof!

I sleep on the left, I have thought about this in the past, and my theory is the woman always seems to sleep nearest the door, could it be an unconscious thing we do?
As when our bed was around another way I slept on the right but was then nearest the door.
It could be an inbuilt factor to do with getting up to children in the night, just a thought.
But one I have no reason as yet not to believe based on the people I know.
My O.H's snoring means that we have always had separate bedrooms. At one time, it was so bad one of us had to sleep downstairs.
It has affected our relationship. confused

You know you are right. Women do sleep by the door. It must be so they can make a dash to get away from me.

No they come in the window, thats on my side.
There is a school of thought that the reason most men lie on the right side of the bed is so they can have a w*nk without pissing their partner off too much with excessive arm movement. Ok this is if the guy is right handed, if the guy is left handed then he'll more than likely sleep on the left biggrin
Waiting for some smart arse to say nahhhh i wank with my left and sleep on the right whinge whinge lol

I sleep near the window Dek sleeps closer to the door
I always sleep on the right side of the bed, we cuddle then I turn over and face the window to sleep
when dek has to get up at stupid o'clock for work if he sleeps on the other side he trips over the dog (who sleeps half under the curtains) dog then wakes up yelping which wakes me up

ok so lover has said i don't know my right from my left rolleyes so just to clarify, when you stand at the bottom of the bed and look at it, as a picture say, i take the right hand side and he takes the left. though us side by side he's on my right.
just wondered though; when in bed on your own do any of you lay diagnally across the bed like me?
whips

Yessssssssssss
It doesn't matter where we are I always sleep nearest the door and Mrs manc sleeps nearest the window. Left or right doesn't matter.
The reason given is that if anyone did break in, ovvously they come in through the door not the window, they will get me first. Lovely thought. Not that I might be brave and save her. No doubt it will give her enough time to make good her escape through the window.
How she's going to achieve this a number of floors up in a hotel is never thought out. Though it could be parachute in the luggage and not more clothes.

There`s not a section for us as we dont live together yet
however when we do stay the night together he sleeps to my right, nearest the door
I sleep on the right of my other half, he sleeps
nearest the door as he gets out 2 use the loo
more than me.......i just P the bed  lol
gary normally sleep on my left smile
we recently spent a night apart and it was horrible, one of the worst nights of my life sad
we had to spend the next afternoon sleeping together to make up for it :)
when we are ready to sleep wink we either face each other cuddling or one faces the others back and cuddles up :) perfect :)
