Who is viewing who?

Okay so it is a known thing that I am not here to play, but I do sometimes browse the ads section if I am on line. I like to see who is on from around my area rolleyes

Oh and okay - I'm a perve and some of the photos are quite interesting :twisted: redface

So I was browsing yesterday and today I get a PM from someone who's ad I was looking at. So now I find out that you can see who has viewed you and it just made me wonder whether people find it useful or a little intrusive? It would stop me browsing the ads now for one. But what about those of you who have ads? Do you find it useful to see who has viewed you? Would you contact someone who has viewed your ad but obviously chosen not to contact you about it? This isn't a complaint about receiving the PM by the way - it just made me think.
So - Intrusive or Useful?

id say its useful and sometimes i contact people who browsed my adverts, i dont see it as intrusive,after all we put ads on here to get noticed. xx

Neither... I would say it is more misleading.
(seeing as the main reason I look at profiles is out of curiosity - to see if they look as big a twat as they sound) lol

Oh - and there's me thinking you were looking at my bottom pic... confused

I like looking at profiles to give me more context when chatting/talking/perving someone - doesn't mean anything most of the time AFAICT.
I wouldn't contact someone just because they looked at my ad/profile.

I think prob. intrusive, just because you are viewing doesn't always mean you will follow it up and to be PM'd can put you in a embarassing situation of having to reply 'no'. I would never contact anyone who had just simply looked at our profile/adverts. smile

I'm not bothered if people know that I've looked at their adverts or profile, if I did I wouldn't look. lol

I just like the idea of looking at the list sometimes on my profile to see who's been 'viewing' me.

the list on my profile always says that its an extras option. I used to be able to look at it. Is that right?

I don't think it's particularly intrusive, but people shouldn't take it to seriously.
I can see Polo's case for it being misleading in that there are various reasons for looking at someone's ad/profile, but then again if someone's looked and hasn't contacted you then doesn't that tell you something? dunno

I'd take the logical approach that if they've looked but haven't contacted us they're not interested. Regardless of the reason they'd looked.

That is right, I think! :lol: You get the extras free for the first month then you have to pay.

Someone sent me a pm the other day because I'd looked at their profile and I have to say it freaked me out a bit, wondering if looking at someone's profile gives out the wrong message. I often check who I'm talking to in chat and would hate everyone to follow it up with a message, I have far too many as it is, and for me at least looking at a profile doesn't mean I'm interested so I hope I'm not misleading anyone - if that's what some assume? dunno

On your homepage it shows the last 20 that have viewed - personally i dont know where they come from - but as an avid ad reader - sometimes curiosity, nosiness or just perrrrv factor - this may explain lol

We dont mind who looks just as long as they read what we are advertising for (which is nothing at the moment :shock: ) Some pm's can be anoying (you know the type) others are very nice and are not always a pick up line, just a conversation as such, or a comment on a post etc..... These to me, are always good.
From the list of viewers - sometimes i nose back (the name is funny or interesting, or the name is familiar) I personally do not pm the peeps - just have a nosey back wink

It's the names that you don't recognise, meaning you've never communicated with that particular person before. But the fact that their names crops up on the list almost every day that makes me ponder.

Just because you look at profiles doesn't mean you're definately interested does it? dunno

I mean, how do you KNOW if they look interesting enough to contact if you don't look at the profile? I look at profiles for a number of reasons.....to see if they're what I'm looking for, to check out a newbie if they ask for advice on it, to tit-perv silly

I'm a single bloke, in many ways I don't expect to get many responses to my adds sad

, if someone looks at my profile I have a look back, read their adds and profiles carefully and if I fit or am interested I will write a PM. After all it is a site to meet people?
What I don't do is get in touch, with people obviously not looking for me, if the profile or adds say straight single male required thats fine, as thats what I am (Anyone looking for that biggrin

get in touch). If they are looking for curiosity, interest etc If they want a Bi-fem or couple thats just not me, so why would I bother spending the time and effort to waste their time when they probably get plenty of PM's anyway. Also if the profile is empty, why should they expect to get PM's???????? obviously on here for social reasons or don't want hassling until they want to meet, so why pester them.
After all the idea is to meet like minded peeps for fun, not piss people off :cool:

Most days i have a scoot across the names list and check the profiles of people online, or if i see an interesting user name. I quite often check the profile of people i know to see if they're still online for various reasons, and of course i check out Kiss, Binxy, Fee & HLB's profiles and many others cos i want a perv at the pics as they're silly
