We recently told some friends of ours we were swingers and they were really cool about it. 8) They asked loads of questions etc and eventually the lady of the couple confessed she would like to try it but her husband did not. We chatted about it and decided the best thing she could do is find a swinging partner who would help her to stay safe whilst she was out. smile

The next problem was how to do it. I had a lot of trepidation about placing an ad but we decided to try one - after all it only takes 30 seconds to delete an ad! rolleyes

So in the early hours of Saturday morning I posted an ad for her - we kept it updated to keep it at the top of the pile - 60 hours later and 1777 views what do you think has happened? Thousands of emails with cock pics etc?
NOPE!
20 emails - all from people who answered the ad - most sent a facial pic - some did not and nobody sent a cock pic! Only one response just said "m23 looking for sex with lady email me with pics" and had no pic with it. :shock: :shock: :shock:

This has made me think that perhaps if you ask clearly in your ad for what you want then the ad system seems to work even for single women! Either that or most were offended by the ad and didn't bother to email. Whatever it was the response has been superb - and I have forwarded on every email to the lady concerned rather than my initial fear of having to delete 100's of shite emails.
Credit to you all guys - you sure impressed me with your restraint! 8) 8) 8)

I saw your ad and was very impressed with it - and it just goes to show that if the person posting an ad is clear in the criteria, civil, articulate and polite then the response will usually be the same.
SO often I read in the ads section 'wanna fuck?' - 'I need a shag' and worse and wonder who the hell would ever reply to such ill mannered nonsense. It takes me all my time to not delete them!! :shock:

I can see why the ad got such a limited response,,,it is VERY descriptive about wants and needs.I wish all adds were that good.I've sent 3 responses yesterday to local folk who's ads seemed to fit my bill,I was polite,nice etc etc..did I even get a no thanks?!..did I heck
I just wish I'd have known what exactly I didn't have so I needn't have wasted my time typing and attaching to emails.

Okay - a brief update - hehehehehehe
Lady P got 29 emails in response to the ad - all very good responses. That was to over 3000 hits on her page - good restraint! The ad has now been changed to thank everyone who responded and Lady P has now emailed everyone of those that responded to say either, No Thanks - or to continue with the chat. I think she has 3 guys she is talking to and 1 in particular who she feels may be a good swinging partner. 8)
I really do think that this shows that a well worded ad that is targeted does not need to be inundated with 1000s of emails which need to be ignored! lol

However, there is a cautionery ending to the message. Some people she chatted to over 2 or 3 emails revealed true colours and then sent her either cock pics or action shots! I guess the true colours showed through in the end! confused

Believe it or not, there are quite a few people who swing with the full knowledge and support of their partners. Totally agree with you there. I suppose if you think of alternatives like affairs or even seperation or divorce - providing they are both happy and consenting does it really matter what they do to keep the spark in their marriage?

I've been watching this thread with interest and it does raise some interesting issues.
People have their own reasons for doing what we do and there are all sorts of perfectly valid reasons why some married people may want to or have to swing alone. We shouldn't judge others unless we know the full facts behind any particular personal situation. Fred, you obviously know this lady well and have been able to help. I think that's admirable.
I hope it works out for her. I also hope we see her in here. She would be very welcome.

Just to lend my support to swinging singles who are part of couples. But only if the other half knows. There are too many so called singles about openly telling us they are cheating on their partner. They aint single, they are unfaithful, devious individuals who should not be trusted to be respectful or reliable and discreet.
We decided right at the begining of our interest in swinging to avoid all that were using swinging as means to cheat on their partners. Not for any moral reason but as a matter of trust. It al begins and ends with respect. If you aint got it to begin with then you aint gonna have it for those you swing with.
Fair play to every honest single, couple, triple(r there any?) or whatever.
Be honest and respectful and you get ours in return.

I have revived this thread for a number of reasons:
1) To update you on Lady Penelope!
2) To follow up on some postings made in other recent threads by a few people - lucyslovely and Bedhead in particular!
First of all Lady Penelope.....
She did go through all the emails - chatted to a few and has since been meeting a guy - both with their own partners consent - and this weekend they had their first real meet and all went well. Wooohhooooooo!

Secondly really to answer a few questions. Do ads always get crap responses and do single guys need a PR makeover?
I think that if the ad was good and clear there is no need for masses of unwanted messages and as I said in the thread - over 4000 views before we pulled the ad and less than 30 emails - all with exactly what was asked for bar one. So no - single guys don't need a makeover - they need to read, properly, ads that are well written and the right result happens....
