The past can only come back to hurt you if you let it or if you consciously keep dragging it back up.
Can't change the past, you can only change the future, so the best thing to do is leave the past where it belongs, in the past and chalk it up to experience.

and yes i have said things without thinking first ,usually if i feel something is'nt right i just say so. some people take this as me being arrogant and stoppy (this applies to a very small number of medical professionals who dont like being questioned about things) but if i dont understand fully or am uncertain then i tend to ask questions.

I have a problem. In conversation, things that pass through my mind frequently come out of my mouth. It has upset a lot of folk ovr the years and I have had to get used to that.
In terms of going back and wiping the slate I tend to find that the kind of people I dont want to offend seem to be the kind of people who dont take offence. So no, even with my issue I dont feel the need to wipe the slate clean.
If you are feeling playful one day, play my candour game. Instead of thinking something then being polite just say what you think. Its really good fun.
