The money available for prizes was adjusted by guess who... Gordon Borrown of course and the amount available for prizes has dropped 50% in the past 12 months.
The prize money is directly related to the interest rate which dropped again today so less money available for prizes again.
Still, it's a "safe" haven - whatever that is these days!

That just isn't true. I work in the Industy & one of the larger companies went "pop" 1st week in December last year.

the best place to take advice about this is the sunday times money page and its free. this subject has been discused in the past few weeks issue. premium bonds was one of those highlighted. i have some and in the past won many. in investment circles cash is king so sit on it. or if you want a garenteed return gov bonds they never go bust except of course latin ones. also buiding societies was ano shop arround there are some good deals and thay are nver going to reduce them anywhere near zero becuse they need to pull in money to finace there mortages. nationwide. also whats not known by many building socities have a share type bond which pays a high rate of return above base rate. agian nationwide wont go bust its well run all the others were cowboys.
