Not quite the same thing but...
In my last employment, the company I was with decided to oppose the scrapping of Section 28 and tried to make all employees sign a petition to send to whoever, I didn't really care
I declined and was not looked upon favourably.

I remember a while back when we met a guy and we were quite niave. He arrived, everything was going fine, then when the crunch came he said he just couldn't use condoms. We should've known to state this long before a meet ever happened but we just assumed that everyone would think the same (stupid now, we know).

Came home and had about 5 budweisers.

Now I'm on vodka and bitter lemon.

This might sound really bad, I've been on this forum for a while now (although not so much lately due to personal matters) but I don't really see the need to put a great divide between England and Scotland. I made some great friends at the first Scotland munch and there were people who'd travelled a long way to get there. I really appreciated that and on the plus side, I can always call them and meet up for a drink if I am down in Englandshire.
I've also made loads of friends on here who I have yet to meet. Sure, it's good to be able to meet like-minded people in your area but its much better to stick around and chat to everyone, this forum is so much more than a meeting ground.
My best advice is to attend the next McMunch (but post in that thread, not this - you don't want to be missed out!) and you'll meet loads of great people from around here and possibly more from further afield who you'd like to keep in touch with.

Its so damn annoying, especially if they phone right at the time you are trying to cook/feed cats and hamster/open mail all at one time. Why do they always choose such annoying times to phone?
I had one the other day asking if would like to take part in a 5 minute survey so I did...and was on the phone for over 20 minutes.
Next time I am just going to put the phone down.
