My partner and I will be out and about on Saturday night in Cambs so if you'd like to meet us pm for times and locations etc.
The Data Protection Act is law so applies whatever, whether it's stated or not. I'm not commenting on it's implications here...only stating that the Act does apply.
He was such a nice guy too. I sat next to him at football for about 4 seasons - his family are all Ipswich Town fans and they used to drag him along - and a nicer more down to earth guy you could never want to meet. Such a sad day.
I've suffered terrible insomnia in the past and aside from the normal things, one thing that really helps me is a radio. I tune it to a talk station (5 Live works for me), not music and if the subject is one you're really interested in then change the station. I have it on very quietly - not so quiet I have to strain to hear it, but almost.
Then - and I guess this is the hard bit to explain - I try and empty my mind of everything until all that's there is the sound from the radio, and I try and hear it without actually listening to it so I'm aware of a sound but not aware of what they are saying. I find I usually drop off to sleep quite easily.
If you want to try this I wouldn't use a sleep function on a clock radio...when I do that I find I lie there thinking 'OMG if I'm not asleep in 20 mins the radio will be going off.' So I just leave it on all night.
This can be a bit of a pain if you aren't alone though so it probably isn't for everyone, but maybe it might help a little.
I had it too. The strange thing is though it came to the email address from my advert, which is hidden, and not to the email address for the forum, which isn't hidden. I hadn't responded to any adverts in months though so knew it was obviously spam. Would be interesting to find out how they got my email addy though, or whether it's just normal spam and a coincidence that I happen to be registered on a swinging site.
It's because salt doesn't evaporate with the sea water. So as water evaportates the salininity (I just made up that word but it sounds like it might be a real one) of the sea water actually increases. Then fresh water falls as rain and replaces the evaporated water so the salininity (I like that word) returns to normal again.
I always enjoy Michael Moore's work but he does have his own agenda too and Farenheit 9/11 was definitely made to meet that agenda. While it's an interesting film I think a couple of shakes of salt should be added before taking absolutely everything he says as gospel. The film was clearly made to make money as a piece of entertainment and to make a political point, not as an independent piece of investigative journalism.
Having said all that, I agree with everything everyone's said. Bush may be corrupt, but it's the fact that he's so dangerous that scares me. What I really hate is this culture of fear that all politicians are tapping into, inspired by Bush. They think if they scare us enough we'll let them get away with anything whether that's invading third world countries or monitoring all our emails. If Bush gets re-elected I dread to think how many more wars we'll be started in the name of peace and as long as we cling onto America's coat tails we'll be dragged along for the ride.
I'm sure I remember my Dad telling me that they used to have a team in Leeds ;)
Only had them bought for me once and I really liked it. Only problem was I spent the whole weekend sneezing and with sore eyes, which sort of killed the mood :color:
