Can anyone help me out with a lift up to Doncaster that day and a lift home the next morning too?
I am going to the munch and I have a place to stay, but I haven't figured out how I'm going to get there yet!
I am willing to contribute to the petrol cost for anyone travelling from the Black Country. It needs to be someone I already know though please. Hope someone can help - please PM me if you can

Thank you so much to Naughtywigancouple for organising the munch and it was great meeting so many of you. I have loads of messages for people but will post again tomorrow.
All I will say for now is thank you to everyone who helped me out and took care of me last night, especially Makingcocoa, Drifter, BiPaula and Fabio
The day was filled with problems and ended with me making a complete idiot of myself and I am really sorry about that. :oops:
I am feeling really embarrassed today but will hopefully get over that and see you all soon! :oops:

Yes that happened to me which is why I changed my avatar to this one - people I knew were thinking the new person was me, which is confusing.
Is there any way this could be checked out when people join, I wonder?
Probably be too difficult - I guess the only way to make sure nobody steals your avatar is by having a photo, but that's WAY too dodgy for some of us!

At the school I used to work at, I set something up for the shy children at playtimes. It was a "friends' bus stop". Anyone who was too shy to join in or who didn't have any friends would stand at the bus stop. The other children were told that it was a really kind thing to do to invite any children they saw there alone to join in their game. It worked really well, because the chidlren who picked up the shy ones and included them were rewarded for being kind. :rose:
No child was ever left without anyone to play with for more than a few minutes.
Having a similar system at munches may be slightly patronising though I think! :D

Just do what us women do all the time - wear them anyway and smile even though you're in incredible agony and then, when you can't take it any more and everyone's too drunk to notice, take them off and spend the rest of the evening in bare feet. Then, when YOU'RE really drunk, put them back on again and you won't notice the pain till the next morning!
