I think that type of customer has always existed Rob, I think it's just that the Internet has given them more nerve, because people do realise that the kind of blackmail you describe, can get them something for nothing.

OK, so your posts haven't been abusive, but you're pointing out errors in profiles; that's hardly courteous, is it? What if those people read your posts on here and realise they are being made fun of? And by someone whose profile is littered with errors?

Not hard to guess which hotel some are mentioning in posts on this thread, and anyone reading the forum already knows the date and town of the social. Not beyond the realms of possibility that uninvited people could turn up.

Never been alone for Christmas Day, but I don't think it would worry me at all. It's just another day, and the bonus is that nobody else would be able to hog the remote control!
