We'd love to join you if it's poss - at least for the social. We'll keep an eye on the thread to see what plans are. We're bi fem and st8 male too and looking for pubs and clubs to visit where it wouldn't matter that we weren't both gay/bi.
We're South Yorks based - any help and advice on bi/str8 venues closer to home would be much appreciated!

Our second visit last night and it was lovely to be welcomed...the first night we were there was perhaps not typical of the atmosphere, which was so much friendlier, with a better balance of couples and singles - or were we just braver?! Certainly we felt lots more comfortable and able to take things at our own pace.

For me, opportunity is key. It's easier to act upon my attraction to men - with women it's so much more difficult (and not just because it is - still - less socially acceptable). Partly this is because I don't 'read' women so well...or at least I'm not as confident of acting on my instinct. So the part of my sexuality which is attracted to women goes largely unexplored...

I gave up two years ago - yes, I can remember that date and not when I lost my virginity too! I think it was just the right time for me...but took every bit of willpower I had. Sipping water when I had a craving helped a bit.
The important thing for me is how good I feel not smoking (and that's what stops me starting again, even when the urge is desperate) - I feel so good, cleaner, healthier and I've given myself permission to be the best I can in lots of ways. That's a feeling worth holding on to.

I'm enjoying the discussion - especially as at the moment, we're still working through what exactly it is we're looking for in all this (and why).
Lots of strong feelings...I recognise in me that I feel uncomfortable talking about what Mick and me are seeking as 'swinging' - what's that about then? Images of Cynthia Payne and suburban sex parties...but then, why not?

Me and my bloke are going out for the first time tomorrow night, 16th Feb - South/West Yorkshire or North Notts.
