For starters LV is at the opposite end of the site to all the commercial crap, hot dog vans and hippy shopping mall etc! On offer they have a 50s diner, with bar, food, dancing. A posh restaurant you have to book a table for and dress in evening wear. A casino with cabaret all night, incl fantastic erotic burlesque striptease and champagne, and a ballroom with bands and partying. Not to mention the chapel where you can be married by Elvis, or the freak show on display. It's probably the most 'decadent' area of the site in terms of lavish frivolity!

i am prepared to get to know people, but after making an attempt i.e. replying to an ad, posting something here in 'lets meet up' I can't really do much more if I get no response! Just bad luck I guess. Its not a massive issue, just annoying at times.

Unfortunately there are a great many people who are unwilling to put in any kind of effort/attend any social function. These are the people who constantly complain on the forum about not getting meets/getting no responses to ads or posts on Lets Meet Up/'no genuine people you're all fakes' etc. The amount of effort you put in and your attitude to it all, is probably in proportion with the amount of success you have.
The 21 posts you have made, probably means you haven't had a lot of success (however you define success).
Well a 'swinging lifestyle' from where I stand is one more involved than I am in any swinging community.
I appreciate that obviously going to munches will up your chances of meeting people (duh, I'm not stupid)

I'm making observations based on my success, or lack of it (!) and my approach. I'm not 'bitching' so climb down and stop being so defensive please. I'm here to make friends, locally hopefully, as I don't intend on going to regional munches. Surely that's permissable?

I dont have a cam but I ALWAYS provide my number when replying to people, along with a face pic. Not that its made a blind bit of difference. even tho ads that say 'all ads with pic will recieve reply' never have, even to say 'sorry. no'!!

Now that chat is a lot more established its kind of hard to get into the 'community', there seems to be a hardcore of folk who regularly meet up etc and use chat, so not much joy there. Also the fact that there very rarely seems to be anybody local to me in chat, so thats another minus point!
As for the ads section....well I get lots of replies, all saying I should go join such and such a 'pay site' to continue any correspondence, in other words most of the ads are just other sites phishing for punters. But no doubt most know this already!
