south manchester like sale, altricham, didsbury are very expensive for renting and buying property, look to the outskirts of manchester if looking to buy or rent, these places are lovely but very overprised...i live in saddleworth about 12 miles from manchester its beautiful..lots of rolling hills an space...the city centre manchester delvelopments are the most up and coming in europe, lots of galleries, urbis, lowry, imperial war etc....
nightlife is second to none..canal street, printworks, you name it manchester is getting it at the moment...trafford centre, manchester city centre for shopping..st anns square...too much to list..as frecklebird said....looks on the loads of info

its finally snowing in saddleworth, this means with 2 inches of snow on the ground that the schools will close, traffic will come to a stand still, and oldham council will not send the gritters out to so called grit the roads, because the roads are unpassable....i remember when winters were winters none of this scattering of snow we have now....does anyone else remember...5 ft snow drifts..people out digging there cars out...my kids think i'm joking when i tell them this....how can places like buvaria and the swiss manage year in year out with the snow fall they get......the uk gets 2 inches of snow and its emergency stations.....makes me chuckle...!!!!

the good old daze.....like to tell you alittle story...i'm actually writing a book about the rave culture(about half we through) being from manchester the Hacienda was always the place everybody wanted to go...wednesday nights were famous....a guy called gerald walked into the place one night and asked graeme park to put a toon on he had made in his bedroom.....Alias Voodoo Ray was born.
another little mention about a young kid, whom went to manchester uni....started DJing, got a job in a club called Bugsies in Ashton under lyne doing a first set.....made his way up to having the main prime time....got poached by Shelleys stoke....then the hacienda got wind.....became Huge....his name was DJ Sasha...........one of the first super DJ's....
best clubs i've been to Hacienda.....ewerk in Berlin.......Slam in Hamburg.....love parade in Berlin is shit hot..if you fancy a good weekend....usually in june....

we are all smiling now, and are happy that London is the host city for 2012....but, during the next seven years taxes will be raised to pay for the event..i am happy for London, it will create lots of jobs in the stratford area....but then again i am cynical, and believe that no one else will benefit from this major world event, apart from London itself. although i cant see the stadium becoming a huge white rabbitt that the dome became, a possible solution would be that the milton keyne dons could move back to London, and become great again with Vinny Jones as a newly Appointed manager. going off on one there alittle sorry.......But well Dome..Done London...christ i've just realised i'll be 40....in 2012

this is a very serious issue, and the general population of the U.K do not use illegal substances, but there is a minority. it is without saying, a difficult subject to cover as alot of people do not understand the complications it may cause.
there does seem to be an underlying faternity, using illegal substances within the circles of some swinging groups...i have tried on numerous occasions to try and broach the subject, but without success, as i do feel people need to be educated on the misuse of drugs.
i agree, this is a friendly site not willing to discuss these issues in the open forums, but i feel that it may be a good idea to have a 'risk' thread about illegal drugs and the dangers they pose, numerous people are still very much in the dark and very Niave about the DANGERS of drugs.
