The problem with so many ads and profiles is that they're so vague about what they're looking for. These people must get hundreds of replies - some well thought out and written, and plenty from the cut-and-paste or "look at the size of my knob, fancy a fuck?" brigade.
We placed an ad 1 week ago looking for a select bunch of guys. We have been very specific about what we want / don't want, what we like /don't like, etc.
We also state in our ad and profile that we're only looking for guys who can make that specific date, and that we will delete any replies from people who haven't read the ad fully. For the ones who do read it, we give them an easy way to demonstrate the fact as soon as we see their email in our inbox.
Results so far? Around 50 emails have been deleted straight away without us replying. Only about 15 replies from guys who read the profile - all of which we've replied to saying 'yes please' or 'no thanks'.
We must have cut out a large proportion of replies by being so specific in our ad, and get 50+ emails in a week. Ads who don't really say what type of guy they're looking for, or who don't have a specific date set to meet must get 50+ a day!!? We can understand the apathy about not getting replies, but when there's that sort of volume of mail you can bet the majority of it is going to go straight in the bin.
A sad fact of life unfortunately, and the law of 'supply and demand' in action. rolleyes

Unfortunately, there are many who are just playing the numbers game, and sending out the same cut-and-paste email to as many people they can.
We recently placed a photo ad, and a post in 'lets meet up' - plenty of responses but so far around 70% have gone straight into the ignore list because they obviously haven't read our ad.
There are a lot of genuine, trustworthy guys on here - we've met a number so we know they're out there. Same old story though that the good ones get tarred with the same brush as the A-holes.
Good advice, we agree, is to report the abusive ones, and block guys from contacting you if that's not what you're looking for.

Hi there,
We're looking for a number of extra guys (2, 3 or 4) to help satisfy a very attractive, very greedy girl in MK on 21st July.
