Passed by the entrance to the bends a couple of times recently and it looks as though the closure may be a bit more permanent - the road signs look to have been painted out. Cheapo Suffolk Costal usually just tape a bin-liner over if its temporary. Shame that, I've had some good scenes there recently - now Nactons been taken over by children I guess I'll have to schlepp up to the Arbo for my nocturnal fix.
I'll be there this time lol.
Jacsings, Have you ever been fishing? I find dogging very similar - hours of anticipation interspersed with moments of pure nirvana!! Tha hanging around hoping (for me anyway) is all part of the thrill.
Mr. DD, If you're not already overrun, please add me to your 'register of interests'. Single older, respectful male ;-)
Ditto to what groupuk said!! Better luck next time.
Jonno - Is that the bootlace that sends chivers down your spine? I know its a quote but I've been racking my brains as to where from ....... Around the horne??? Help!!!
For me its the anticipation, the waiting to to see what will happen. I would certainly not expect any involvment but that would be a bonus. For now, as a newbie to the whole scene, its the frisson I get as a new car pulls up (usually carrying yet another single guy) but living in hope is what living is all about....
Just a thought... before one gets too carried away ask an agricultural-type person how little baa-lambs get short waggy tails when they're born with long floppy ones. Doesn't bear thinking about - ouch! (Although I'm assured (not by a lamb!) they feel nowt.)
harry - the geezer in the aston appears between the ads and the next bit of the programme during 5th Gear - tuesdays at 8 on 5 (I think)
BBW - Ah yes - the S&H - Bedford Dormobiles up the A140 for a bop and (usually) to run away from the riots on a friday (Go9d-I'm old!!!)
As long as he leaves a burning hand print on their car door as he lopes off into the night...

Then, of course, there's the legend of Black Shuck.........

Know what you mean about Thetford - I was out there Sunday night, fog swirling through the trees like something out of a Hammer Horror - No-one about for miles arouind - no traffic noise (no traffic, everybody in some pub in front off a roaring log fire) when I heard movement coming my way through the trees - 'Oooh er' thinks I - some rural types creeping up on me with malice aforethought so I click down the lock and prepare to scarper when what looked like the entire deer population of the forest minces off down the tracks muttering 'Look at that wally' to each other! Ho-hum better luck next time....

Darkest Suffolk here: - blowing a hoolie but no white stuff to be seen - not quite cold enough (yet!!!)

Love the image - your websites pretty cool, too! Just a thought - I realise you don't do pre-arranged meets, so am not asking for one, but is there any chance of a PM giving me pointers to hotspots in the area - i know about the one between Stowmkt and BSE which is where I've been dangling to no avail off and on for a fortnight. Cheers JC
Wow! I never realised there was so much involved in this game. I thought the fishing comparison was what its all about - 99% hanging about - 1% passive watching (and pud pulling) then live on the memory for a few weeks. Thanks again dirtydoggers - I'm so glad i found this site.
I have to say I agree with whats been said. I'm one of those new single guys - but wouldn't dream of pushing it for fear of getting my face rearranged. Am I alone in being reasonably happy to sit in a car park, getting a buzz every time a car pulls in? - (this might be THE ONE) - although I have so far gone home cold to pull my pud. Never mind I'm not givingup yet.
DDs - Thanks for the timely lecture - loads to learn, but i'm not gonna give up! Post duly edited. JC
Shad - Thanks for that (and the welcome) - I won't give up just yet. Hopefully someone local will chip in tks again JC.
Hi - Can anybody help me out with the gen on the site on the A!4? I'm new to this and made my first visit last night but the only people about were sad single guys (like me!). Is there a pecific day/time for couples to show or do i have to take pot-luck? (Of course, if a sympathetic couple who are not averse to a 50 y/o saddo would like to PM me......)
Cheers,
JC
