in these days of online chatrooms, email, mobile phones who actually would try to talk to a stranger, think about it, on your way to work you pop in a newsagents, supermarket, petrol station to buy a paper, you pick it up approach the till......what happens next seems now the norm, the assistant will take your money ring the amount up and if required give you change, no smile not much eye contact, maybe a thank you. this week after a conversation in the pub over the weekend about manners and general conversation i have tried a new approach i have tried three different venues to get a paper in the morning. i now approach the counter and stand in front of the till until i get eye contact, then i say good morning how are you today, whatever happens the person serving you will have to reply,i then ask how much the paper is, when i get the reply i hand over my money with a smile and a thank you. after recieving change again a smile and a thank you, has each time got a smile and thank you back, simple good manners but how often do we use them today, if somebody is entering the shop on you way in/out say brightly good morning, see what response you get you might be surprised. after trying this for three days this week it has made me think about my own lack of good manners. try it and see it could cheer you up in the mornings lol

Sadako Yamamura from Ringu (The Ring)
The Cenobites (Hellraiser) were scary, although ironically I think Pinhead was the least scary of them all to be honest. biggrin
But in the absence of her.. I'd pick Jason Voorhees... he kicks Michael Myers arse any day.
As a kid, the two things which totally terrified me were pretty much all of the mutations in The Thing and (wait for it) the two Oddbods from Carry on Screaming!!! *blush*

oh yes kenneth williams and
frying tonight awsome
cheers  and welcome have as much fun as you can with the strange folk who lurk in the darkest corners of the cafe forum, there seems to be quite a few
hello, try a few postings in the cafe section to introduce yourself, get to know some people like anywhere you really should try to get to know people first, seems rare to get many replies first advert just glance through the other pages and you will see, but anyway hello from me and :welcome: and have fun

Hey there guys and girls, just wondering if there is anyone from around my area on here? Would be cool to get in touch for a chat about anything going on around here. It seems a bit dead to me!
Give us a shout!
Cheers Guys, Mark.

i ventured over the bridge once and headed for the valleys with a sense of fear and excitement wondering what i would find, heaven or a place like roysten vassey, as the darkness crept in, the light from the full moon cast strange shadows all around, i neared a village which seemed strangely silent and approached the first cottage i found, a note was on the door my pulse raced as i neared it , i knelt down to read the note (it was a small cottage) what did it say i hear you ask , well it went something like this, hello stranger..................
village closed we have all gone to bristol for the night
bollox i thought and went home

Right you guys, its my turn to choose the PM Victim for next week and i am completely stumped,so could you all pm me who i should pick and why to help me to decide?
Please help!!!!
Thanks in advance lol

simple thought, take the names of the thread starters (authors) current first page , then remove anybodys name who has been done before, remove any special freinds who you dont want this to happen to (you have to have some favorites) then whoever's left stick their names in a hat and there you go you have your victim and you wont feel guilty (ha ha as if you would anyway) or you could say you did it this way but just stich one of them up and that way they couldn't be sure you named them on purpose.

in these days of 1 week wonders in the music industry john peel is one of the very few who survived down to pure talent, honesty, respect and a willingness to give new acts a chance. his like probably wont been seen again in these days of pop idol, xfactor hyped music shows, i for one was brought up listening to his shows in the days when you would buy the record singles and and bands moved up the charts a week at a time his voice will stay with anybody who ever listened to his shows. he will be sadly missed by many
