were do swingers take there pcs to be fix we live in the wolverhampton
it takes 15 to 20 mins to start up and is very slow and now the mouse has stopped working
Sounds rather like there's a problem with the hard drive, do you hear any clicking, ticking or what i suppose you could describe as revving (the disc speed increasing then dropping back)
Also, have you had any error messages?
You could try right clicking on 'My Computer', select 'Manage', select 'Disc Management' and see what it says for the C: drive. If it doesn't say healthy then there's definitly a problem. I'll have a think about other things to try or check
personally sounds like you have got some services running that are taking awhile to start.
have you installed anything recently ?
have you got any items in the startup ? click start - all programs - startup
are you on windows XP ?
What Antivirus software you got on ?
did you fix your pc, if not i'll come and take a look for you free of charge.
Or maybe its your Internet Service Providings

You could try defragmenting your hard disk, but the boot up time sounds like it's Norton Anti-virus.
Norton tends to slow your machine and the more files you have the slower it gets. Norton has also been known to cause problems with PCs, so might want to try another anti-virus and see whether that makes any difference.
The mouse problem might be an OS probelem, but you can probably repair it with a copy of Norton Utilities.
Hope this helps.
